    Would probably stop the throwing at a batter. Depends on what is better for the game. Less intentional HBP or less powerful umps?

    One way to clean it up immediately is to actively enforce the ejections that are suppose to happen. If the ump thinks it was on purpose, throw the guy out, no warnings.

    Last I saw, he was in extended spring training until rookie ball

    Due to his height and the angle which the pitch comes in, in order to be a high strikeout pitcher he would give up a lot more HRs. Also, not all of it is on him. Teams have been swing happy at any strike he (or any of our pitchers) have been throwing. It's tough to strike guys out when 60% of the batters face ground out on the 2nd or 3rd pitch of an AB.

    Not that one specifically, but it seems like Bautista has hit into 15 DPs this year with 2 men on.

    He is still finding out who he is as a pitcher. Might take him a little longer to settle into his true potential. Heck, Sale is one of the best pitchers in baseball and just this year has switched to pitching to contact.
