    I will say this. Stroman has had a much better changeup tonight.

    I think this might be a good thing in the long run. Might show Stroman he has to get people out and limit baserunners...means K'ing more hitters instead of pitching to contact.

    They need to break down Stroman and limit him to 4 pitches...4 seam, 2 seam, slider, changeup. Make those 4 pitches as best as possible.

    Half of Stroman's problem is that not throwing a 4 seam fastball it is easier to recognize the difference between the 2 seam and his offspeed pitches.

    Sanchez has a better K/9 then Chris Sale....no one could have guessed that in a million years!

    Bautista's bat hasn't been great...if Pompey could hit like he is expected to, it would be equivalent or better than what Bautista is putting up to this point in terms of overall WAR. I expect Bautista to finally get back into a grove soon, so Pompey won't match what Bautista is hopefully going to put up. If Bautista hits like this the rest of the season he might not even be a 3 WAR player.

    Give him this year as a pass...next year is where he takes off or goes into injury derailed career. Pompey should just stay in AAA until September callups. We will need him next year when we lose Saunders and Bautista. Let him get consistent ABs for the first time in a few years

    I'm not positive, but I think Sanchez threw 6 or so 4 seam fastballs last night....might be a sign that they will be adding it back to Stroman?

    Not really a coincidence. Happ, Stroman, and Sanchez are GB pitchers which decrease pitches per inning and except for Happ and Stroman in the last 2 weeks or so they have pitched great which will also decrease pitches per inning. Estrada is there because his changeup and ability to throw it whenever induces a lot more swings (pitches in the zone) but a ton of pop ups and easy fly balls.

    He is more likely on a pitch limit vs an innings limit due to his ability to throw more innings on less pitches than other pitchers.
