    It comes down to drafting strategy and international signings. In the past it has been geared to pitching but the future looks bright, especially with some of the hitters in the organization now. Vlad Jr. Alford Urena Tellez Biggio Woodman Bichette Etc. Right now our hitting talent is mainly at lower levels so it will take a couple years to see it produce...hopefully

    History is full of examples of players who went back to the minors and got better...or changed teams and got better.. or played on an offense with a lot of good players...and got better

    Consistent offense is probably a better term. We usually go 5 days of 2 or 3 runs then score 10+ to even the stats out. Usually not a good way to win a lot of games though.

    I guess sac flys are one of the hardest things to do in baseball...and just putting the ball in play with bases loaded. It's not like any other team can do it right?

    Problem is they don't encourage this. They want the HRs. Part of the problem is from the manager and the rest is the hitting style of our players. They think hitting a grand slam with 0 outs and 1 out and 2 outs is better than hitting a 2 RBI single, bases clearing double, bloop single etc.

    Smoak needs to be cut tonight. Montero is better than him with one arm behind his back or put Bautista at 1B and Pompey in RF... anything!

    Sanchez needs to limit his innings a little Stroman is going crazy innings wise compared to last year Estrada has big back problems Dickey needs to be removed Liriano had the 3rd highest ERA in baseball for a SP Happ is cruising but who knows for how long 6 man rotation is need And with Gibby as the manager...6 is probably better than 5 until deeper in the season

    This offense better figure out how to hit the mistake pitches sooner rather than later. Lately a 2 run deficit feels like a 10-0 game
