    Not really about getting hot. He is getting the least amount of strikes thrown % wise in baseball already. He just needs to relax and start taking the walks like in the minors. If they are scared to throw him a strike dont help them

    Both of those are bad trade options imo. It wouldnt take Stroman + to get Whitley at the moment and Sanchez is better than James. Given those options I'd sign both to extensions and try to get some FA pitchers in the offseason or prospects for Smoak/RP combo at the trade deadline or before

    Absolutley. But it's not awful if you can effectively succeed without missing bats at a rate done so by top Aces or great strike out pitchers. There is less room for error, but so what imo lol Sanchez at his best (no blisters like today) is a pitcher that isnt seen much in today's game. Someone who succeeds by limiting hits, while walking a few batters guaranteed and doesnt strike out a lot. It is what it is. He has been good this year. Not great. But good

    That's objectively a terrible argument and I would feel sorry if someone believed that. Pitching isnt just Ks and walks. Never has been and never will be. It's about getting outs and not giving up baserunners and runs. It can be done 100s of different ways. You cant strike out every batter. That would be best, but you cant

    That doesnt mean he has been awful. His fastball has been unhittable today. His offspeed pitches resulted in some walks trying to strike batters out. Wasnt his best day but 1 run on 2 hits in 4 innings is not awful

    Off speed command 100% as been awful. He has gotten ahead of almost all hitters and just hasnt been able to put hitters away because his curve has been off and his change up too fast today. His fastball has been good and Oakland hasnt v Been able to hit it
