  1. Big trade about to go down. $10,000 and Matt Carpenter for Ohtani. Yankees going all in
  2. 1. Defense and base running has been pretty obvious issues that seems to compound as time goes on 2. Don't care. Consider it the analytical play of running to 1B. Vlad hits the ball so hard that when its statistically a guaranteed out and no chance of making it close he doesn't run it out full go or far. Deal with it. The analysis shows clearly that this method helps keep Vlad fresher and not tired, while allowing for less chances for injury. Vlad goes full out on grounders that will be close or he can beat and those are the ones you want him to run on. Its about the long game and his method is backed by science and data. Vlad's 2nd half last year he tired tremendously and has said he is doing everything to stay fresh this year. Not running on clear outs is acceptable 3. We suck at manufacturing runs thats for sure. Stealing bases is part of it. Bigger issue is situational hitting (runner on 3rd less than 2 outs and RISP) I do think coaching plays a role in 1 and 3. Montoyo receives the blame imo
  3. It was an offensive comparison showing just how little K% means if you are hitting for a solid avg and power, along with just how big a difference a few HRs and/extra base hits mean
  4. Just interesting.... Player A: .268 AVG, 29.4% K, 12.2% BB, .369 OBP, 24 HR Player B: .269 AVG, 17.8% K, 10.1% BB, .350 OBP, 19 HR Player A could win the MVP and is almost 8 years older Player B is a complete disappointment to many lmao
  5. I'll let you in on a secret....they arent trading Gurriel or Teo
  6. Would hope so and they turn it around in a big way...but with the a phillies and KC next week, not holding out hope until its clear it has turned
  7. You mean Bo. Guy is always serious. Infield pop up is the SS ball always
  8. Oh wow. An error and then an 0-2 87 MPH fastball down the middle...kind of like quit pitching soft tossing gimmicks late in games
  9. Screw that Kirk has been bad the last 2 weeks...off with his head. I here the Yankees need a C. Also, Manoah couldn't get by the A's in Oakland No mercy. Get rid of everyone. We must strive to be the Pirates for 20 years
  10. Very good at times. Just gets lazy on easy plays sometimes. Been limiting it lately but almost had one today
  11. Except when fielding routine grounders at SS
  12. But unfocused on easy routine ground balls to SS lol
  13. Ground ball single machine when things are working
  14. Gilbert quick pitched Vlad with Bo on first. Thought that looked weird. Wanted to throw him off
  15. Start with figuring out what you would give up for Soto. That would be the package, either minor league based or major or combo
  16. But you can hope that one day they become good enough to be as good as Thornton. Need to change the franchise. The Pirates have a good plan
  17. I hear good things about a couple 16 year olds. Definitely franchise changing lmao
