  1. Loved that swing on the fastball down and away to Vlad...just a tad late but looked more like last season
  2. Instead of a double the shift gives up the extra base again
  3. Have to hide the bad umpiring. Apparently it's a side deal with MLB
  4. They definitely spend more on the commercials than the broadcast and they spend nothing on the commericals lol
  5. Bo now with 17 GIDP...within 2 of being 3rd in baseball Might be the 2nd biggest issue with the offense overall
  6. Did you try the 3 in Omar's first post?
  7. Better than the Peacock ones, but absolutely
  8. We need to score first and set the tone of the series. Hopefully Richards can come through to begin with
  9. September 16th. Vladdy - 1 Point - LTBF Bichette - 1 Point - Springer- 2 Points - Chapman - 2 Points - Hernandez - 2 Points - Jansen - 3 Points - Biggio- 4 Points - Dylan Bradley - 5 Points - Tapia - 8 Points - Off the bench: 10 Points-
  10. Posted this is another thread but thought its good here as well
  11. The most likley reasoinig for both is league adjustments in pitching to them nothing crazy, but enough to see a difference in the overall stats for both. This phenomenon is seen in many other huge stars theblast few years, especially when the thebplayers had huge age 22 or age 23 seasons. Once the league has a firm grasp they adjust overall and then the hitter must readjust. The batted profiles don't change nor the exit velocities, but teams know what to do to limit the damage and then the hitters must change to get the ball back where they like it or do damage on what is being given
  12. Give me all 3 Vlad 10/250M Bo 10/210M Manoah 7/150M
  13. I think the current good deal value people have based on this season and what it actually would take are far apart. He is 23, was the best hitter in baseball last year and the 10th youngest ever to 100 HRs...its taking 30M a year unless he wants to take a super team friendly deal. Think of it like Soto...he isnt going to get 20M a year because of his play this season being a 3 WAR player...neither will Vlad It's also definitely worth 30M/year. In 10 years, 30M will be the equivalent of 20M. Definitely worth a floor of 30 HR/30 double, .280 hitter with an .830 OPS and 8 steals (in less than half the season). He is top hitter as one of the youngest players in the league...back up the truck Also, I do believe you can't use Riley as a base because everyone in ATL took huge discounts basically
  14. Tough game. Shifted on the terrible umpire and not scoring early on McClanahan. Huge series starting tomorrow
  15. 10/300M seems like what it would take at this stage
  16. Wow...a moderator with a crybaby complex...shocker The concept of the swing is how to attack a pitch to not hit ground balls. Not swinging at sliders was not part of what was discussed in the article. But thanks for playing the moronic take game. Yes he he needs to stop swinging at sliders low and away, but the concept of the article and what they discussed with the coach was making better contact and punishing low pitches, particularly sinkers and pitches in Thanks for showing your true colors when you dont understand the concept and can't have a discussion. Crying about a comment when you 1 misread it and 2 move the goalposts to a different concept then what the article was referencing shows true issues lol
  17. I'm not giving myself credit...just having a discussion about what is going on and why. Real question is why does that pain you so much
  18. I figured there are some knowledgeable and good people on here who would like to know what is going on. But by all means stick with....PULL DAT BALL. So basic with little understanding or knowledge of the game
  19. Except hitting sinkers to CF and RF vs pulling them has been a big the difference in HRs this year for Vlad. I think about 10 HRs different the last I looked. Last year sinkers over the plate Vlad would homer to RC or CF on an inside out swing or at least double on a line drive. So no, your point is incorrect
  20. September 15th. Vladdy - 1 Point - Springer - 1 Point - Bichette - 1 Point - Deadpool Chapman - 2 Points - Stangstag Hernandez - 2 Points - Bradley - 5 Points - Espinal - 6 Points - Dylan Merrifield - 6 Points - Moreno - 8 Points - JaysAllMighty, Spanky99, LTBF Off the bench: 10 Points- Omar
  21. "when it comes to hitting sinkers or down and in" Its not sinkers down and in....its sinkers OR down and in.
  22. To the last comment, I think the thought is staying inside out will let him square up the ball more and top it less. He has had an issue with sinker ballers at times this year, hitting a lot of ground balls no matter where the sinker is located. Definitely a difference between HRs to the opposite field last year and this year and that could be it
