  1. Listening to Jamie Campbell on PTS right now, apparantly the secret to every bench player being good is just giving them more at bats. His evidence? Cuz Smoak had a good couple of series last year when he got to play for 2 weeks straight as a starter. Ding... f***ing ..... ding

It does seem odd given his contract status. Sure the Leafs had 2 2nd rounders in the upcoming draft but why not keep them to parlay into an actual asset for more than 2 Months?

Shattenkirk heading to Washington. No indication yet on what the return is. Caps really going for it this year Edit.... rumoured return is Zach Sanford, 1st rounder in 2017, 2nd rounder in 2018, possibly more to the deal. Blues retain a portion of remaining salary
  4. Total was 227. Nice
  5. They would have if they weren't playing the Knicks. It was a the worst 1 point win you've ever seen
  6. Pretty confident the go ahead 3 from Lee was all Derozan. I'll watch the game ending play again, but it looked like Derozan's man set the screen and was picked up by Ibaka, and Derozan didn't switch onto Melo. Edit. And yes, that's what happened.
  7. Derozan didn't switch on the screen.
  8. And whose man was wide open for the 3? Derozan's. f***ing clueless on D And again on the final possession, left Melo wide open for the possible game winner because he didn't switch. Missed the shot and bailed him out but man this guy is awful on defense.
  9. These end of game possessions are infuriating to watch. Let's have DD, a bad ball handler, run the offense - which amounts to nothing more than an obvious turn around jumper from 15 feet with 3 on the shot clock while 4 other guys stand still and watch. Genius idea Casey. f***ing genius.
  10. 1st half was an offensive shitshow. Complete garbage. 2nd half they need to get it together or they'll be run out of the building
  11. Waaaaaaaaay too many mid range jumpers tonight. It's like the Raps figure you can't score unless you shoot from 15 - 20 feet...
  12. That single vertical 1 is slimming.
  13. I'm still laughing that Siddel called Justin smoak "lanky."
  14. As a reliever it's not like he was facing the opposing pitchers slot with an actual pitcher in it. Thornburg has also maintained a low babip for his entire ML career so far, so while a bit of regression from 2016 can be expected, something like .270 would be actually be above his career avg and still be below league average.
  15. Drop that batting avg to about .220.... maybe. The holes in his swing are very large
  16. Carroll, tucker, Ibaka and Joseph were really on defensive lock down in the second half. When they were all on the floor it was actually nice watching their switches and helps rather than seeing defensive shitshows.
  17. http://m.bluejays.mlb.com/roster/ Save the wasted time.
  18. Fruitcake. f***ing disgusting.
  19. Excellent defense in the 4th quarter. Probably the best effort all season
  20. Yeah I don't get it. The entire league is moving towards quick possessions that go to the rim, ball movement and threes and the raps are going the other direction, even though Lowry is the exact type of player that could run that type of offense. Their possessions are like 18 -20 seconds the vast majority of the time with minimal movement and mid range jumpers. That just won't get it done.
  21. Doubt he signs here over Cleveland.
  22. Lol. Replies on this will be endlessly entertaining. Well played.
  23. No kidding. Britton's emergence as arguably the best closer in baseball was obviously Showalter's genius and mastery of all thing baseball.
  24. I'm most looking forward to multiple hundred page GDTs where maybe 2 pages of it is worth reading.
