  1. I mean scoring an extra run or so every other game doesn't matter when your pitching staff gives up 5+ every game
  2. Maybe, but there's also the possibility he learned something from the debacle he put the Jays in and won't repeat it
  3. I think getting Vlad up and Morales gone would be a signal they are trying to compete this year, but unless the pitching turns a corner soon, it won't matter how much they score, so dumping Kendrys for Jr doesn't move the needle in any case.
  4. Thought this was pretty cool.
  5. Don't get short with us Spanky....
  6. Sure didn't sound like it. Just said teams are feeling out what they have and aren't seeking trades, didn't touch on draft preparation at all.
  7. After watching him, I don't think his defensive skill is a problem, but rather keeping his focus 100% of the time is the problem. His errors so far have really just been mental more than anything
  8. ..uh... no?
  9. What's that his ... 6th extra base hit if the season?
  10. I don't think anyone is drinking that kool-aid anymore.
  11. Odúbel Herrera homers in the 1st inning, extends on base streak to 40 games.
  12. I'm wondering what... if any...point you are trying to make?
  13. I'm forced to point out he still actually has positive baserunning value right now.
  14. 19 fastballs 6 changeups. Basically he's a reliever now... sweet
  15. 19 fastballs out of 23 now. And the change is only like 4 mph slower.... thats just not gonna get it done
  16. It better, he's throw it 18 times out of 20 pitches so far. Not exactly a great way to keep the hitters timing off
  17. The next move is getting rid of Demar. Lowry can actually play the kind of game they need to play but Demar can't. I just don't see how it gets done though given that it should be painfully obvious to every NBA front office that Derozan isn't worth giving up real talent for.
  18. It's also that a huge part of a team's focus right now is scouting for the upcoming draft. Trade talks generally don't heat up until late June at the earliest.
  19. You're right in that the NHL pipeine is much shorter that the MLB. There's really only 1 level below the NHL(I guess 2 if you count major junior and US collegiate, but that's not pro level)... whereas below MLB there's 8 pro levels that have rosters to fill
  20. MLB Warns Mike Clevinger For Having Fun With His Cleats http://www.cleveland.com/tribe/index.ssf/2018/05/mike_clevingers_colorful_cleat.html Yet another reminder that baseball can't be fun.
  21. Diagnosis? Heavily bruised ego.
  22. Kevin Vicuna - hit machine, but no extra base base hits to speak of. Where is the power?
  23. Players of the day: Eduard Pinto, Rodrigo Orozco, Vlad Jr, Harold Ramirez, Gunnar Heidt, Rowdy Tellez, Honourable mentions: Yennsy Diaz, Kevin Smith, Kevin Vicuna, Reggie Pruitt, Kacy Clemens, Logan Warmoth, Jonathan Davis, Juan Kelly, Andrew Guillotte, Danny Jansen
  24. Albies has been ridiculous. I don't think anyone saw this kind of power coming.
  25. Broken record. Even worse, it's a broken record that nobody wants to listen to in the first place.
