  1. Also Philly will win. Good show by AZ to come this far though
  2. Bro… Carroll, Marte, and Walker were all much more dangerous hitters coming into the playoffs. They all did their job and had a guy or two help them. Bo was just barely .800 OPS bat and prob under that the second half.. They got exposed in the playoffs. “Depth” everyone .750 OPS bat got exposed by playoff pitching. Which I proved to your clueless people becomes harder to hit.. here we are again rehashing AZ got through rounds with their big bats coming though. Jays didn’t do s***, just like all year. Cry me a River
  3. Sometimes they can underestimate. Like in the case of Zack Gelof, it does seem Bsr checks out, as he has 91st percentile sprint speed. Pleasant surprise as Fangrpahs had only pegged him at 50 scale and didn’t steal a ton early on in minors
  4. My bad. I think I got my posters mixed up. I thought this was a guy that disregarded 1500 PA sample sizes over 4 years, in favor of 70 AB sample sizes when evaluating a player. My mistake. I will be more careful
  5. You can frame any players sample sizes a certain way. Its funny how you paint a rosy picture with samples sizes when you want, and then use the same info to paint a less flattering perspective when you want

The 49ers officially were mushed. 0-2 (not even playing top teams) since Spanky weighed in
  7. Made sense when he came in. Not sure if they could’ve just used him for one batter in the 3rd and kept him on his schedule.
  8. Jung could’ve ended it. Still a sliver of hope for Houston maybe
  9. You aren’t part of this Texas Ranger party, Jim. Take your lame ass home.
  10. They done f***ed with Abu Jukir or whatever the guy from Major Leagues name was
  11. Show up those receipts, Spanky or stfu lol
  12. Tongue-in-cheek a bit I was being, a little anyway. It’s still baseball and he could’ve not had a good game
  13. Missed that inning. How embarrassing to give up 3sbs in 1st inning. Also I’m like Nostradamus predicting Seager’s big day upcoming
  14. On a Monday. Truly WNBA worthy
  15. Well, that is was when it was a close game. Disregard
  16. How is a Game 6 in an LCS half over at 6:30p ET? Baseball really losing ground to the other 2 major sports… Anyways.. this is a spot where I could a controversial pull of Kelly before going through a 3rd time even if it’s the 5th. Problem is, can you get 5 good innings from the BP.
  17. Yeah definitely wouldn’t bet it. Texas hopefully can score enough where Max doesn’t need to be great. Seager is due to have a big game
  18. Much like the Bluejays, except with better chances, they’ll need to depend on their offensive core of Kim, Bogey, Tatis, Soto, and Machado to perform. Tatis is Vladdy and Soto and Bogey just needed to be a little more consistent over the course of the season I still think they add a SP. I’d almost bet on it. We’ll see. In any event, it’s a competitive team.
  19. There’s no FA to sign. Makes sense to wait a year, maybe get under tax penalty. Don’t forget they were all over Judge. 2026 payroll isn’t bad, as I showed. Why should they have no Bogey, no Machado, no Soto.. and be a terrible team, so they can rebuild. To get a higher draft slot and maybe be good in 5 years? Instead they doubled revenue and added who knows how many hundreds or millions to their value.
  20. Yeah, basically I’m just admiring what the owner has done. It’s good for baseball and I think he profited from all these big wave moves. It does seem the efficiency hasn’t been great
  21. They doubled the teams revenue over a short period. That pretty spectacular in any business. You can’t just look at they missed the playoffs by a couple games I don’t know what that did for the franchise value but I’m sure it means hundreds and hundreds of millions
  22. Well, I’m separating what the Padres have done as a franchise and defending the big deals. Not so much the GM
  23. Was he warming up for the 9th though? Chapman isn’t the kind of guy you bring in with the bases loaded
  24. Xander Bogaerts $25,000,000 2026- 25,500,000 Joe Musgrove $20,000,000. 2026- 20,000,000 Manny Machado $17,090,909 2026- 25,000,000 Yu Darvish S16,000,000 Fernando Tatis Jr. $11,714,285. 2026- 20,000,000 Robert Suarez $10,000,000 Seth Lugo $7,500,000 Jake Cronenworth $7,285,714 Ha-seong Kim $7,000,000 Matt Carpenter $5,500,000 Next year payroll and some of their big contracts in 2026. There’s nothing ugly there. I’m not a fan of their GM because of things like Hosmer and Cronenworth contracts that looked s***** right away Trading for Soto was worth it. They could still flip him if they wanted to but doubt they will, until deadline if they’re not in playoffs. They stopped trading away prospects in 2023 for the next 3-4 years, they have a playoff WC type team at least and they’re free to “rebuild”.. why does rebuilding need to be the 76ers famous tank job. In baseball I doubt the difference in #8 and #18 draft slot is that much different. The owner took a middling market that could’ve easily been a Colorado or Detroit type franchise, and he doubled the teams revenue and made them a name in baseball. It’s a good story for baseball, but again, I’m not saying I’m a fan of the GM. Though all have their good and bad deals
  25. Take it with a grain of salt. BTS follows “The Atlantic” of SD Beat writing, as he’s pleased with any negative news.
