  1. Not to rain down on the Xmas parade but Im unemployed now too. GF was the big boss. Let that be a lesson to anyone that finds themselves is such a situation. I will be ok though. Have made good money and have savings..just a terrible holiday
  2. Is anyone else's Xmas going to blow cock? Just broke up with my long term gf recently and was very close to her family. Havent talked to my own in long time. And my kid went away with ex wife for holiday. What a s*** Xmas:( Sorry to be Debby Downer..lol Merry Xmas to everyone but Dogg. Dogg-you arent even worthy of the cheapest kind of coal
  3. I think made his way here. His sn was like daffyd and he had a few troll posts so you knew it was prob him. Guys like that are much more entertaining then dogg. Dogg just comes off as pathetic and shameless. Akman was character
  4. Pretty sure i remember most people were pissed
  5. Actually it was just typical media sensationalism and Jays buckling to nasty calls/letters from GLAAD and whatever other pro-gay organizations. I doubt the typical fan worried on it. Maybe thought it was without class and smack him on wrist sure. Even if I was a gay man, don't think I would lose sleep on it
  6. I did. Just was wondering why the Garcia guy would want to hook up with a snuffelofogus, especially considering it's a teammate's wife. Bang any random decent looking slut at the clubs they go to
  7. Isn't PF's wife a major snuffelofogous? I mean marrying them because you were with them before you were famous is understandable..but to seek it out after the fact?..and another guys wife no less
  8. Even following the narrative that AA was forced to put a contender on the field.. He wasn't ordered to go seek out such and such. He wasn't ordered to give up way too much for a Reyes contract MiA desperately wanted out of, same with MB..and 1 year of JJ. Also maybe instead of Dickey with the value he traded he could have added Gose/Nolin and such and had a chance at guys like Samarzija. One thing AA is known for is working the phones and I doubt there weren't other things he was working on. He chose the wrong path. So he should never get a mulligan for what happened last year.
  9. Lol. Torched
  10. 10cents US= like $4.50 of their pesos. They should be happy they have work
  11. Yeah. I remember that. I always used to assume ksaw was one of the better posters because he always sounds so intelligent..then I read njh hilariously tear him apart in a post one time that described him to a T. That said, seems like good guy. Not starting beef:)
  12. He's a hard guy not to like
  13. Yeah, he's saying they gave him QO even though they didn't value him at that. I wanted Jays to do same thing with JJ
  14. $10m worth is pretty schrewd for a guy thats provided over 22 wins in his 6 full seasons. 3.40 FIP last year. BB rate was all time low, k rate all time high. 30yo. Gtfo with $10m
  15. After the comp round.. Jays would prob give up like the #50 pick or so right?
  16. Nah..Lackey was more of the workhorse kind mostly overvalued for his post season courage Though I think even skeptics to him at the time wouldn't have predicted what his floor was
  17. Lol..indicators Though inicatora sounds like should be a word
  18. You guys are just scared off because of Jiminez's velo drop but there's inicatora he's becoming a better pitcher and I think he will compensate for the velo drop. Wouldnt bet my house on it but I'd give him 4/56 and feel good
  19. That said..I'm positive there are homo voters who won't vote for someone first time if they aren't Mickey Mantle
  20. Yeah if you use "first ballot HOF" as kind of metaphor to describe a player..I understand. I think a lot of people unwittingly do that. The more literal way though would be: "well such and such will be in that class and he won't be able to get in that season..but will at some point"
  21. I think it's fair to look at anyones numbers from those years and question it..for that reason, I don't like keeping Bonds/Clemens out of the hall unless you're going to just say nobody from that time gets in.
  22. Obviously some of the guys I mentioned need to maintain their course but you get the gist
  23. Two of his best years at the plater where he hit 92 of his HR were when steroids were most rampant. Just don't like him. Actually I think the HOF should be reserved for obviously the generational guys like Trout, A-Rod, Kershaw.. Legends like Jeter (though I hate him so much).. And other guys like McCutchin that are elite and well known during their time. Don't like the fence guys
  24. Andruw Jones is also the kind of guy that underachieved what he could've done. Nobody likes voting for a guy like that. He wasn't ultra relevant to his generation. I'm ok with things like that mattering when a guy is on the fence .254, 111 wRC+ is too much to overcome in my opinion
  25. It's a good question. I think during his time though (I'm almost 35 so can remember a bit) Ozzie was seen as a generational talent kind for his wizardry in the field. Wasn't about UZR. He was a very relevant piece of baseball history so I see him as a HOF guy. I don't think think of Jones in the same way.
