  1. What's wrong with Cashman? The guy is a pretty good GM all things considered.
  2. BTS is currently sporting his Alex Cobb T-shirt as we speak.
  3. I'm like 90% sure most of the posters on that forum don't know who Alex Cobb is.
  4. I lol'd pretty good man.
  5. Really looking forward to this league. Should be a lot of fun.
  6. I think the Mets need to trade him to Tampa Bay.
  7. Guy just can't catch a break. That's terrible.
  8. With regards to a pitcher, I only care about what he can control on the mound. If the guy is giving up a bunch of line drives that require his defense to make numerous run saving defensive plays, than that isn't called "shutting down" the opposition.
  9. In terms of what he can control and his own skill, he sure as heck didn't "shut down" the Blue Jays.
  10. Guy came into tonight's game with the highest xFIP amongst qualified SP and after the game, that's going up. Young didn't "shut down" the Blue Jays. In terms of batted balls in play, he induced more flyballs than groundballs tonight. The guy's GB% is sitting at 23%, and he doesn't miss enough bats to get away with not inducing enough grounballs. Young has been due for some big time correction and it's only a matter of time before this house of cards collapses Jeff Locke style.
  11. There is nothing advanced in understanding why a pitcher who doesn't induce weak contact, or generate swinging strikes will not be able to sustain prolonged success. A guy who gives up hard contact while not generating swinging strikes is not "shutting down" the opposition.
  12. 1. Nope. 5.90 xFIP = Shutting down? The guy doesn't miss bats or induce weak contact. For f*** sakes, his GB% is sitting at 23%. He isn't shutting the Jays down lol. 2. To a logical person, I make sense. In your world, you agree with the likes of AO and Alex Jones.
  13. "Shutting down" would mean that he would be missing plenty of bats and inducing weak contact.
  14. Drafted him in the 5th round of our initial minor league draft in 2013. He tore up the minors and was a very popular fantasy sleeper choice entering the year after he posted up respectable counting stats during the 2nd half of last season. I came into this season expecting him to be my SS of the future, but that sure as hell didn't go as planned.
