    For the record - commissioners shouldn't push trades through during the regular season in order to circumvent Yahoo rules like DL limitations. I feel like silvergums asks us to do this 5 times a year so that he doesn't have to drop a player and we normally accommodate him, for some retarded reason. No more! If you can't just do the MLB part on Yahoo then the trade is rotten. The exception is if you are trading an MLB player for purely MiLB assets, then maybe a commissioner will add him to the other team so the owner doesn't have to waiver claim the player. That's it though.

    I think that's a great haul for Marte, who I hope sucks going forward. Lots of possible impact and Salazar alone is like 75% of the way there

    I want to just assume this is a joke, but you kind of have an extended pattern of trades now where you give him elite talent on an platter. Posey and Marte... not sure if there were others. Maybe it just feels like it.

    Jim has a good point. Really, you can leave your frontline starters in the lineup at all times to avoid obstacles like this. Bonus: if your lineup is ever locked down because someone comes off the DL, you might not be forced into dropping someone in order to make sure you don't miss a frontline start. The LOD is all about that extra 2%; only your backed SP should ever be cycled in and out of the lineup, if possible.

    The risks of a player not signing also mimic real life (which is kind of cool?), and are simply built into the player values in effect (which is fine). No need at all to change things. I understand why JF is annoyed and he should be but it's not like a deferred pick is objectively better than just keeping the unsigned player. They are kind of just deferring their pro development by a small amount anyway.
