  1. Stroman may surprise and crack the rotation next year also, but he like Hutch can provide quality depth. AA probably signs some older vet who will pitch a lot worse than Hutch or Stroman.
  2. Nice to see Gose at the top of the line up again, while going 2-4 with a double and a SB. I think we see a push from him, especially with the possibility of LF being an issue next year with the Jays. If he can just hit .250 / .310 in the bigs,i'd love to see him in center with Rasmus in left.
  3. I agree. With the added TV money and the three year "go for it" window,Rogers really doesn't have a choice. They better pray the team gets off to a good start next year, because ticket sales will be probably sold on the per game basis or flex packs at best. Season ticket sales will be down next year.
  4. We need grass in the RC ASAP.
  5. I'd have more faith in AA cleaning this mess up somewhat if Beeston stays out of it.
  6. Hey,at least you can smoke crack with the mayor. Trade for Josh Hamilton and ask them to eat salary? LOL.. Actually..?
  7. Actually Bautista is our best trade chip, but he's part of the "core". If payroll is going up then Bautista has to be a part of it with his good value. Jansenn is by far our biggest chip that is replaceable. Maybe Buehrle can be traded if we eat $5 per and he finishes the year strong. We would then hope that Hutch or Drabek can give us quality innings. I say trade MB and go with Hutch or Drabek to start the year, then re calibrate as the season progresses. Hopefully we hang around long enough to make a significant addition at the trade deadline. MB will give us innings, but the 4.5 - 5 ERA is pretty much a guarantee,so i'd say we don't lose much in Hutch or possibly Drabek while saving $13-18mil.
  8. Thanks.. He must have decent control of his pitches and changes speeds really well to be striking out that many. If he has good natural movement on his fastball,he can get away with it in the show if he can sit at 90-91 in 2-3 years. The velocity difference in his fast ball to curve and change are great,as long as his delivery is constant. Being a lefty will surely help his chances. 50 K's in 36 IP with only 8 BB and only 22 hits given up is nothing to sneeze at. At 6'1 180 lbs and almost 20 years old,he'll probably get close to 200 lbs as he matures. He's at that bubble height that all MLB scouts want their starters to be at. Have to keep an eye on this guy.
  9. What's the goods on Dawson? His numbers look great, although ss. What does his fastball clock at? What's his secondary stuff like? He doesn't seem to walk many and strikes out a ton of batters. He's he projected to be a legit prospect?
  10. How about we say they are both garbage.
  11. Yeah like Thole is tearing it up. At least Blanco is better defensively, imo.
  12. He was a bit shaky in his stint in Buffalo,so maybe it would of benefited him mentally if he came out with one clean inning in his first game back.
  13. Should of pulled him after his one inning on a positive note. First game back too.. This reminds a bit of how Gibby through McGowan in the fire his first time back. I'm disliking Gibby more as the season progresses.
  14. First off, i just glanced at her pic and she looked like she was 12. Secondly i have a daughter myself so thats why i reacted the way i did,you stupid ignorant f***. If i realized she was in University, there would obviously be no reaction on my part. I guess i have to remind myself sometimes that this board consists mainly of a 25 and under crowd. Sorry guys.
  15. She had her pic posted. She looked pretty young to me.
  16. I get what you are saying, but sometimes when it smells like s***,it's probably s***. I think the JJ situation calls for some good old fashioned humanized assessing by qualified people. f*** his previous stats. I'm not by any means ruling out that it is possible for him to turn it around next year. Percentage wise, can we afford to take the risk? I personally don't think its a good idea, but what do i know.
  17. Rasmus has shown tremendous improvement this year under Mottola, which sheds some light into next year.
  18. Holy f*** with these stats bro. Players regress prematurely sometimes, period. His only chance to salvage anything is back in the NL.
  19. You call this little girl a chick? How old are you,12?
  20. Sports package bro,had for the past five years. You do know its 2013 right?
