Pompey is already in management's good books, which is an achievement in itself. All he has to do is play well consistently and he'll be back up here in no time.

Hoffman.. 4 IP / 2 H / 3 BB / 2 K / 0 R Hit was flared down the right field line. Two BB but he did throw a 2-0 curve,obviously working on things. Curve has good bite while still throwing hard.

Hoffman on the bump.. 1 IP / 1 H / 1 BB / 1 K / 0 R Hit was an infield single off Hoffman's glove. Lead off walk, commentators feel he was squeezed. First few fast balls at 93 MPH, but settled into sitting at 95-96. Strike out was on a filthy curve ball at 79 MPH, caught looking. Seems like he has good stuff today, settle in.

Inexcusable to throw two balls in the dirt in the same inning. Trying to stretch a double on a ball he had no business trying it on. Oh yeah, he's the lead off hitter in a tie game in the seventh with your 2-3-4 due. It's all good though, he's a gamer !! -
