    This is true in many cases, but when you have a massive contrast in the SP and the pen, you need to work the count a bit overall as a team. On the flip side, you probably want to be a bit more aggressive against Yankees or Orioles SP.

    Price has to be knocked out of the game this inning, hopefully with some runners on.

    I didn't say he's a bad hitter, although his power numbers are still there, he's dropped of in getting on. It's not that often that a runner on second with no out presents itself, so attempting to go the other way won't interfere with the overall approach. Baseball is a game of adjustments, not blind robotic actions.

    When it works out? Which is how often? He can still hit the ball hard the other way, if not it at least advances the runner to third with one out. Give me a break.
