  1. That would be an incredibly stupid idea. I'm glad you spared us
  2. A great comment/tweet I found in that article (from 2014): Brett Lawrie traded? Whaaaat? The Jays better end up winning this trade or else they're gonna have some very angry season seat holders... This is exactly why I don't mind losing BOTH Bautista and Edwin, if Shapiro thinks that is the best move for our team. The fans will show up if we win. The fans will not show up if we tank for 2-3 years because we have no payroll flexibility
  3. Because Homerz
  4. John Jaso Jingleheimer Schmidt. SO FUNNY!!!! Hahahahah
  5. Reading this article makes me kind of scared that we will f*** it up and be the laughing stock of the league.
  6. Definitely. We really needed Cecil against KC and all their lefties. Who knows what could have happened if we had Cecil
  7. There was alot that went wrong too. - Reyes was garbage - Colabello in the outfield - Travis missing 4 months - Bautista had to DH for a month - Edwin had a nagging injury - Stroman missed almost the whole season - Castro should not have been in the bullpen - Tulo missed 3 weeks and wasn't even his normal self (with the bat) - Saunders missed the whole season - Hutch was pretty ineffective - Sanchez made too many starts And we still fought for best record in the AL (and came very close)
  8. I've just read 3 of your posts in the span of 2 minutes. I think you may legitimately have brain damage FYSMC!!!! LOL!!!
  9. Incentives seems to be the new norm throughout MLB. Oh, and opt-outs. Everyone loves the opt-outs
  10. I think they're waiting to see how the Bautista/Edwin situation pans out.
  11. Not Jenkins
  12. Thanks for the advice. I will, I just can't do it from my phone
  13. So you want him to bleed runs in RF for the next 4-5 years instead of trying to transition him to 1B because he's more comfortable playing RF?
  14. God you're insufferable. That is a whole lot of assumption there, and it just makes you look like an ass. Do you have any sources for Shapiro being an "ego maniac"?
  15. Its funny, because Cespedes strikes me as one of the least likely players to take a paycut. Doesn't he have like gold teeth and crap?
  16. I'm trusting Shap on this. I don't think he'll let Wedge manage the team.
  17. I would hope that if we re-sign Bautista, it would be contingent on him agreeing to move to 1B/DH with occasional starts in RF.
  18. He put up a career season, and took a 3-year deal at 25 million annually with an opt out after the first year. I'm gonna go ahead and guess that he wants to build/strengthen his value in 2016 and opt-out in the hopes of getting a much larger contract, say 6yrs/130mil. At worst, he bombs in 2016 and then has 2 more years at 25 million to rebuild his value for a big contract after the 2018 season. Bautista has been consistently elite for like 5 straight years now. He will get at least 20 million a year, mark my words.
  19. Bautista is also in much better shape than Ortiz, and he can do more than just swing the bat.
