    Can't believe people here are defending Matt Bush... He had a domestic abuse incident and then almost kills someone while driving drunk. He's a piece of s***. If you drive drunk you deserve to go to jail. Nobody should be talking about this garbage "redemption" story. He had multiple other instances of violence too

    It just had to do with the way the lineup is constructed. Gibbons didn't want Pillar to be the last reliable "RBI guy" in the lineup. If Saunders hits 1st, that means Pillar hits 5th or 6th. He wanted Saunders hitting behind Don/Bau/Ed to drive them in. It would have made more sense to just move everyone up a spot and have Saunders hitting 4th. Whatever, it is what it is. It's understandable

    Yes but Bryant has 6 years of control left, and is ALOT cheaper than Trout. Add in some guys like Russell etc. who also have lots of control, and I don't really see that point in a trade like that. Also, injuries can derail a career. You just never know.

    Because Pillar was hot, and also because we were playing NL games with Smoak out of the lineup. And it worked too. Saunders came up with big hits every game. Now that we have the DH back, we'll likely see Saunders hitting 1st
