    Maybe we would have a nice Bradley/Bogaerts/Betts core if we didn't trade a bunch of our prospects for aging guys with huge salaries. Then WE would have more than enough money to sign Edwin.

    f*** the whole "window of opportunity" narrative. This all started with the Marlins trade. We could have had a strong sustainable farm with 1-2 playoff berths by now if those trades hadn't been made.

    Chavez is usually fine when he starts an inning, but the guy can't come in and get a strikeout in a big situation to save his life. I guess the solution is to never bring him into the middle of an inning with runners on base...

    I'll say it again, Orioles have a great bullpen. It would have been tough to beat them in extras.

    Orioles have a great bullpen. When it comes down to extra innings, its bullpen vs bullpen with depth being important. Not surprising that the Jays lost this one.

    Yes obviously there is a difference, thanks for pointing that out. Just saying, this injury probably isn't as bad as the shoulder injury from last year.

    Eh, I don't think he'll miss too much time. I had a bone chip a few months ago and it was very swollen for 1-2 days. He should be ok in a week or two, depending on how serious it is

    Upton was used as a PH for Smoak. Everyone thought the logical move would be to put Upton in RF and have Bautista take over 1B for the rest of the game. Nope. Gibby put Edwin at 1B (thus giving up the DH for the rest of the game) and took Upton out of the game.
