  1. Idk much about Fisher but I know he isn’t very good
  2. I don’t think he’ll ever escape that finger injury.
  3. Damn. Im really not a fan of Sanchez but I don’t like the idea of trading him after such a s*** season. Could have tried to rebuild value next year.
  4. What the f***? Was that actually Garza tweeting all that crap?
  5. Love it. Freddie seems like a good guy
  6. Anyone else think they traded Stroman early because his next start was coming up today? Like they obviously wouldn’t want him to pitch, and Stroman probably would have flipped out if management told him he can’t pitch until after the deadline.
  7. This is a stupid post
  8. Or he only realized it was a mistake after Francona chewed him out.
  9. I’d be pretty livid if they sold this low on Sanchez. If they want to trade him at least try to rebuild some value next year. If he gets injured again then fine, but i’d rather not just let him go for scraps without giving him one last shot next year.
  10. How did we go from allegedly asking for Gleybar from NYY to getting this trash from the Mets?
  11. “Unclear who or why” “Someone was not happy” I mean, I think we know exactly who it is
  12. Yup if the return on Stroman is bad im all aboard the Atkins hate-train
  13. Still the biggest doosh in baseball
  14. Hmmm that sucks
  15. This deserves its own thread I feel. Doesn’t this mean the Jays don’t owe him any more money? Excellent news if true
  16. I forgot it was man on 3rd with 0 outs. f***ing insane that we didn’t score that run. I think Pillar walked there too, because I remember Navarro and Revere both coming to bat and I was sure we would score the run. Those 2 guys had the lowest K rates on the team IIRC, and Navarro had been excellent at getting sac flies all year. Of course they both struck out thanks to those brutal calls from the ump.
  17. Pompey was MONEY in the 2015 postseason for us. Don’t forget he also played a pivotal role in that 7 inning of game 5 vs Texas. He stole second and made a great slide at home to prevent a double play. His speed allowed Bautista to come to the plate that inning.
  18. I’ll never forget my utter confusion and excitement seeing each of the following moves happen out of nowhere: - the trade for Reyes, Buehrle + - Dickey trade + extension (didn’t like the pieces involved but it was still super exciting) - Donaldson trade - Martin signing - Tulowitzki trade - Price trade (this one had me grinning like an idiot all day) Most of those moves didn’t work out in the long run but damn they were f***ing exciting and came literally out of nowhere. Also, AA would have destroyed the team further if given the chance. Imagine if that Bautista extension (100mil+) had happened in spring training that one year. Or a Donaldson extension. If it was up to AA we would be paying Bautista and Donaldson 20 million a year for the next 5 years. Im fine with trading Stroman.
  19. Its just been extremely bad luck for the Jays unfortunately. Deadline is almost always the best time to make these kinds of trades. Look what the Yanks got for Chapman a couple years back for example. What exactly do you think Giles’ market would have been in the offseason? Probably nothing.
  20. Agreed, everyone should hit the full 4 minutes and the 4 with the highest totals move on. Then the next 2 with the highest total. Then last round is head to head like it is now.
  21. You can’t say that because Alonso didn’t even use his extra time.
  22. Ok to everyone saying its “not fair”, no. Thats BS. Alonso would have hit a lot more but he hit 2nd every time, so he stopped. HE NEVER EVEN USED THE EXTRA 30 SECONDS. That’s an extra 1:30 of time he didn’t even use. Vlad used all his time, AND had an extra minute, and another 3 homers from the sudden death OT. The only thing that was “unfair” was the fact that Vladdy was super tired and Alonso wasn’t. But Alonso gets to have that advantage because he is #2 seed with 30 homers in the season so far. Vlad only has 8. This was not “unfair”
