    Im pretty confident he’ll pick it up soon, but yeah with a 1 year deal there’s really no downside. If he IS bad for the entire season then we wash our hands clean

    Even if you believe this to be true, you want him to rejoin the team and possibly infect everyone? There are rules, players have to have like 2 negative tests within 24 hours or something before they’re allowed to play again. Absolutely moronic post for multiple reasons.

    Yeah im not saying its a mirage or anything, just saying I think we should temper our expectations a bit and not jump to conclusions over such a small sample size. I hope he stays hot and continues to mature with age. Maybe he really can be a perennial 150wRC+ bat

    I would say this favors us since Matz and Ray are both good, and our bullpen is kinda weak right now. The fact that we only have to play 7 innings each SHOULD mean we won’t see more than 2-3 relievers tomorrow

    I mean... its 2 weeks. He’s shown these flashes of brilliance before. Lets see what his numbers are like at the end of the season. Saying Vlad is now a permanent 150wRC+ bat after 2 weeks is just as stupid as claiming Biggio is nothing more than a utility player after the same sample size. Absolutely loving what I’m seeing right now though and I’ll gladly accept criticism for being wrong. He does LOOK like a completely different player.
