  1. Probably not... none of these rich guys will ever “learn their lesson” unless jail time is involved. Money is nothing
  2. Things did go wrong though too - big free agent signing Springer misses most of the year - Gurriel takes a big step back - Jansen sucks and injured most of the year - Biggio sucks and injured most of the year - Kirk injured for a good chunk of season - top pitching prospect Pearson sucks/injured/is a complete non-factor - Bullpen takes a bunch of hits/injuries/steps backwards, Romano the only reliable arm - Ryu takes a bit of a step back from 2020
  3. Hey when you have a 9.3% chance at making the 2nd wildcard spot with a month left to go, you go hard.
  4. Lol these millionaires (billionaires in some cases) are too cheap to call a cab or hire a chauffeur. Unreal
  5. Ah, so this will be his last game of the season I suspect. This scenario seems extremely similar to the first time he came back, played 3 games against the Braves, then went back on the DL.
  6. Lets get him on the juice program in the offseason then maybe
  7. Its like we had the Redsox 2013 offseason... except no playoffs for us let alone a f***ing WS title. This team was absolutely sunk by a bad bullpen and bad management. Also offense all going cold during a very important stretch. Baseball can truly suck sometimes
  8. I mean, at the end of the day it’s baseball and it happens all the time. But at this point in the season with favorable matchups like Ryu vs Akin, I agree you cannot lose those games.
  9. I’d say if Springer is out again there’s no way they hit 90 wins. If he’s still ok and in the lineup then MAYBE, but a lot of things have to break right with the bullpen.
  10. Crazy that he went from being a great prospect and having a decent sophomore season to just losing it completely... kinda reminds me of Jason Heyward with less tools.
  11. Fugggg so close. Congrats to Hurl
  12. If we had gone out and got Kimbrel instead of Hand we would probably be in a playoff spot right now. Or at least much closer. Now, I don’t know what the cost would have been but I would have rather done Adams + for him instead.
  13. Mets just walked off the Marlins with a 2 RBI single to LF. Outfielder misplays the ball and Baez scored from 1st lol
  14. Lol no f***ing way. Surprised they actually did. Terrible trade from the moment it happened, Hand’s peripherals this year were f***ing awful. Waste of decent prospect.
  15. Mets cleanup hitter Kevin Pillar
  16. Yeah the last 2-3 pages of this thread are garbage. Absolutely no baseball discussion, just people whining about mods and being banned. I'll start it back up: Charlie wastes Romano far too often when we have a 4+ run lead. He needs to be used in more tie games or even if we're down by 1 or 2 runs in certain situations IMO. I suppose the problem will sort itself out once we get rid of deadweight like Thornton and add Pearson/Merryweather to the pen.
  17. Michael Brantley to the Jays
