  1. Joe seems like such a great guy. Damn all we needed was 1 more good swing… Lets hope the boys can get back there soon and get it done this time.
  2. I think they just felt Ernie was more likely to hit it shallow than deep, and that’s probably a good call.
  3. Just a little bit suspicious
  4. Just would’ve been nice to be on the prevailing side of it. Cubs/Indians 2016 was a classic but im certain Cleveland fans don’t feel good about it.
  5. Yeah this is one of those games that happens in the season, and it sucks but you just go right back out the next day and get a bounceback win. To have 2 games back-to-back like that to lose the WS is devastating. Not to mention only needing 1 more win.
  6. Even Muncy’s and Vlad’s flyout to CF are almost identical in terms of launch angle, exit velo, and distance. If Vlad manages to swing the bat .01 seconds earlier we get a walkoff homerun.
  7. Yup. They were very good at executing those runner on 3rd situations all year long, and for games 6 and 7 they just didn't do it. I watched that Mariners/Tigers game 5 and saw all the stranded baserunners, and I thought to myself "the Jays would have won this game 5 innings ago" Jays ended up looking just as bad as both of those teams in that game.
  8. Vladdy hitting it 377 to dead center in the bottom of the 9th is fkn brutal too. He pulls that ball just a bit its a walk-off homerun, Joe Carter v2 FUUUUUUCK man
  9. Yep. The reason this feels so bad for us is that we know that game was easily winnable. We had the winning run 90 feet away multiple times, with less than 2 outs. And we were winning in the 9th. Such a gut punch.
  10. Need Vladdy to hit more homers next year too. He had 23 in 156 games, then 8 in 18 postseason games. The ability is there. Santander should be good for 30+ homers. I would expect Springer to regress majorly, probably wont see another good offensive season from him again.
  11. Yeah signing Scherzer again is crazy talk. We need more reliability, our rotation was shambles going into September and we got lucky Yesavage stepped in a played a huge role. Need 1 topline SP type like Cease and probably 1 innings eater/mid-guy like Bassitt. For the pen, 1-2 reliable arms at the backend. For the lineup, either bring back Bo or sign Bellinger/Tucker Thats pretty much it?
  12. You’d have to think that this played a part mentally. IKF also got doubled up on s line drive recently in the playoffs, maybe against Seattle can’t remember. They got too scared on the bases unfortunately.
  13. Difference is that Whit is way faster. Also dont agree that IKF was far enough off the bag when you compare his position to Muncy’s. Literally 1 foot would have made the difference.
  14. Funny how different players view this differently. A double play liner to 3rd?? When does Varsho ever hit oppo line drives? That shouldn’t have been a worry at all, but maybe it was in their minds due to the Gimenez liner to Muncy earlier. Small situations that cause ripple effects throughout the game… However, Varsho needed to do better to hit something in the air there. Just so goddamn frustrating to lose like this. Im not even sad, im just annoyed.
  15. Honestly baserunning was the difference this series. Several key moments that didn’t go our way. With better baserunning we probably win one of these games we lost.
  16. That’s unacceptable for a guy that was brought in to pinch run. Unreal. The front office infatuation with IKF probably cost is a World Series lol
  17. Kudos to Pages for holding on. GG on Roberts for that defensive sub because Edman probably doesn’t make that play.
  18. Yeah he was probably scared to get doubled off on 3rd after what happened with him in a previous game + Barger the day before. But like… that leadoff is pitiful
  19. What time are we meeting for the CN Tower jump party tomorrow?
  20. So my thought process there was to let DS play LF for the 9th and hold Straw to pinch run for Bo next inning in case the Dodgers tied it. Felt like they would probably tie it on a homer (likely Ohtani) if anything so LF probably wouldn’t matter and DS can hold it down for an inning. I get wanting to put Straw out there for better defense though. And unfortunately the Dodgers did tie it on a homer and Bo did get on base and Straw would’ve been useful there. IKF just sucks a huge one. He is not a good baserunner
  21. True yeah, the Ranger took 12 years to get back to the WS and won with a lesser team. Really fkn sucks to lose this because it was right within reach. Hopefully we can pull a 2014/15 Royals and run it back
  22. If only Kike was 50lbs heavier and Pages wasn’t able to just bowl him over.
  23. He was used as a pinch runner several times this series and he f***ed up like every time. Too bad Straw was subbed in earlier than necessary because he should’ve been in that spot.
