    I mean… that comparison is kind of a stretch. Calling it “like professional baseball” doesn’t suddenly make in-game interviews some massive injustice—it just makes it sound like you’re taking yourself a bit too seriously. Plenty of actual pros deal with that stuff, and yeah, it might be a little awkward, but they handle it because it’s part of the entertainment side of sports. Acting like it’s beneath you or “cringe” just comes off more like complaining than anything else. At the end of the day, it’s a quick question, not some impossible distraction that ruins the integrity of the game. If anything, it just highlights who can stay composed and who gets thrown off by something minor. So if a short interview mid-play is enough to break focus, that might say more about the player than the situation. I get not loving it, but acting like it’s some ridiculous concept is a bit much.

    I kinda feel like this Vitello guy will be run out of town by the end of the season lol. So sick of all the bs ass-kissing I keep hearing about this dude.

    I feel like the lack of infield depth might become a problem, but overall the roster is solid.

    I feel like we have 3 pretty reliable arms at the back, although who knows if Hoffman goes gascan mode again. And out of the middle guys, 1 will probably surprise us and 1 will probably be DFA s***. The rest of them should be serviceable. Can make additions at the deadline as needed.

    Yeah and something happened around the 2012/13 timeframe, as that’s when guys like Rasmus, Jon Jay, Craig Allen, Kolten Wong, etc. were becoming pumpkins left and right. That org has been rotten since the 2013 WS loss

    Its actually remarkable how many top prospects have failed for the Cards over the last 10-15 years. And the only one that actually looked good died in a car crash. Something is wrong with that development staff

    That’s a high expectation when you consider his 2023/24 results. Lets hope he meets it.

    If the injury ends up being worse than they thought, this could backfire spectacularly. Hopefully they all know its just something minor

    Sorry, that’s not what i meant. Just was bringing up the fact that there was some discussion about whether he should be held down for service time reasons. Ultimately, that would be the best business decision for the team but a terrible personnel/relations move. And seems they did the “good” thing with putting him on the IL where he accrues service time
