Does it really make a difference if he’s hitting 4th or 5th? At most they’d swap him and Chapman and its a difference of 1 spot. Its like arguing Vlad should be 2nd over 3rd.
End of the day it doesn’t really matter. They obviously feel the L-R balance is more important than the actual spots.
Pena lead off for the Astros all year in 2022 BTW
Donaldson the front office just held onto for too long and then his injury f***ed everything up. He should have been traded in the offseason, stayed here a year too long when we had no chance compete. Lost opportunity
Lukes is Bradley Zimmer without the pop.
This front office loves useless lefty outfielders.
Lukes, Zimmer, Bradley, Tapia, Fisher, Pelacios, Brito, Carrera…. Just off the top of my head
Then just do Merrifield LF/Varsho RF/Biggio 2B. Idk I don’t like Lukes starting at all. Especially when everyone is healthy. 0 reason for him to be in the lineup.
Now watch him pop 2 homers and make me look dumn
Feels like we have a couple guys like that in the BP right now. Mainly Richards and Mayza… and Romano to a lesser extent. (Think that Angels game when he loses his control)
Richards and Mayza should never be brought in with runners on base IMO. If they have an “off day” you’re stuck with them for 3 batters. Feels like the front office still hasn’t figured this out, or maybe its John’s call.
Would like to bring Pearson in and see if he can be the firefighter to get swing and miss when we need it.
I’ve sat pretty much everywhere in the stadium multiple times (including boxes and premium seats) and i’d say 200s (anywhere really) and 500s behind homeplate are the best seats considering view/value.
100s aren’t worth it unless its near homeplate and even then, the 100s seats are so tight and the slope angle isn’t great (people in front block your view).
Best seats in the house are 200s TD zone behind home plate. Movie theater style seats with personal waitress service. Worst seats (other than 500s back rows) are probably the 100s sides near the foul netting.
Haven’t tried the new 500s seats yet but im excited about the upgraded seats.
I really disagree with bringing him into a situation with inherited runners. Clean inning is the only way to go with him. Would've gone Swanson instead to face the lefties
