  1. I wonder if Rowdy would consider signing here
  2. Very Frustrating player to say the least
  3. Lol that’s sad
  4. It would be nice. Seems the Jays always have to struggle in this division
  5. Of course i’d rather be a 100 win team, but those kinda teams aren’t built very often and normally aren’t sustainable. However it looks like our low to mid 90s win team isn’t looking sustainable either…
  6. And yes if the Jays miss the playoffs or get bounced in round 1, that is a failure and people in the front office should be fired. I am critical of the front office when warranted, I am not overly critical about things that go wrong unexpectedly (like Manoah falling off a cliff or Varsho not meeting his expectations so far)
  7. Its not homerism dude, I watch almost all the playoff games every year. There’s always mediocre/sub-par teams that make a deep run. Obviously being an “elite” team gives you a better chance at making a deeper run (2022 Astros) but it is by no means a requirement for winning the World Series. Phillies ALMOST beat them. Braves 2021. Dodgers had many elite teams and only won once. 2019 Nationals. 2015 Royals. 2014 Royals came close. 2014 Giants. 2011 Cardinals. Tons of “ok” teams won it all or came very close.
  8. Do they though?? How many World Series winners in the last 10 years have won 100 games? Making the playoffs is enough, and hope for some magic
  9. The “sustainable winner” isn’t looking very sustainable ATM.
  10. No of course we’d be jerking each other off if we had the Os farm. They have some great looking guys coming (and a few already up). Im not an idiot. They look to be SET for the next 4-5 years on the position player front. I just question whether they’ll actually make any significant deadline moves or if they’ll actually spend any money in free agency. Angelos is an asshat.
  11. Oakland is a joke org and we have nothing to worry about with them. At least that’s what the homers here say
  12. Keyword is “potentially”. Jays also had a lot of “potentially” impactful bats that did not pan out. Pompey, Alford, Jansen somewhat, etc im sure im forgetting others
  13. This place will be insufferable if the Jays lose this next Os series
  14. Jays still finish ahead of the Os this year
  15. The analytics probably say otherwise, which is why they keep doing it. I get it though, sometimes the moves they make are just puzzling.
  16. You know why the Houston Astros barely got punished for proven cheating?? Because there's actually a lot of cheating going around that players/owners know about, and MLB was trying to keep it from turning into a huge scandal.
  17. I think its including flyballs that didn't leave the park but could have in other parks. Ex: deep flyout to RF in Fenway
  18. Holy s*** I completely forgot about Zach Pop
  19. I don't think its safe to assume anything with Kirk running the bases
  20. Yeah idk who was claiming the pen is “elite” but it never was. Romano probably the only “elite” guy we have and even he is inconsistent. Offense yeah I guess you could argue they should have more homeruns and its potentially costing them games since the numbers with RISP have been pretty bad. They need to improve numbers with RISP and with runners on 3rd with less than 2 outs.
  21. That’s true but its hard for me to believe that its THAT simple. Because when he’s “on” he’s borderline unhittable. Im still not convinced he’s tipping something when he has these disaster outings
  22. Hopefully with better numbers too
  23. Yup end of the day offense isn’t a problem. Its the major implosions from the Starters (mainly Manoah, sometimes Kikuchi and sometimes Gausman) and bullpen that’s making us lose games
  24. One negative thing per hour? Or one per page in the GDT
