  1. Different era, different coaching and management. But im just kidding about Wetherholt anyways, hope he’s actually good because the cardinals desperately need a win somewhere
  2. I like that you have an excuse for every problem with the Braves roster. Its pretty neat
  3. You’re shocked? This is almost exactly how the rotation was handled when he was GM here. Depth was always AA’s major flaw
  4. They’re both Cardinals top prospects that made the opening day roster ahead of schedule. That’s all i need to see. Wetherholt is a BUST
  5. Age was a concern, hard to fathom he would repeat his free agent year numbers too. A good parallel is Harper
  6. Thanks for the insider info Spanky. Good to hear
  7. That’s a high expectation when you consider his 2023/24 results. Lets hope he meets it.
  8. If the injury ends up being worse than they thought, this could backfire spectacularly. Hopefully they all know its just something minor
  9. Sorry, that’s not what i meant. Just was bringing up the fact that there was some discussion about whether he should be held down for service time reasons. Ultimately, that would be the best business decision for the team but a terrible personnel/relations move. And seems they did the “good” thing with putting him on the IL where he accrues service time
  10. Very excited to see all these new challenges next week and how it affects the game
  11. Maybe Springer’s bat IS actually sustainable... Would be huge if we got 1 more good year from him offensively. Not expecting 2025 numbers but 120ish wRC+ would be stellar
  12. That was at the end of the season though after some hidden injuries. Springer has played a bit of LF this spring
  13. RIP to the GOAT
  14. Im hoping we give Eloy a brief shot as a RHB against lefties. Put Springer in LF, Eloy DH, Schneids at 2B against lefties.
  15. What giving up a walk-off homer in the WS does to a mf
  16. Need to make room for the AL Champions banner and the upcoming World Series banner for next year
  17. Agree on all fronts. Similar as the decision to stash Yesavage in AAA to start the year. These are great business decisions, but terrible for player-relations and optics
  18. Getting close to having a full MLB rotation on the DL loll
  19. There’s a reason pretty much everyone that isn’t American wanted US to lose, its not just a sentiment found on this message board. Team was cringy af and completely tone-deaf to current world issues.
  20. The players made it too much 🤷🏻‍♂️
  21. To be frank, i don’t give a rats ass about American Blue Jays fans.
  22. Sure, but he easily could have pitched the quarter or semi and they could’ve moved other guys back/forward a day to accommodate. He pitched a spring training game the 1 day in betweenthe QF against Canada and the Semi against DR. Yamamoto pitched the QF because Japan knew that was a tougher matchup than facing one of Italy/PR in the semis. Skubal easily could have pitched one of those games if he wanted to, don’t make excuses for him. It was a half-assed lame attempt to pretend he cared.
  23. Always frustrates me when they find these things 2-3 weeks out from opening day… Like, Berrios/Santander couldn’t spend a few days seeing specialists in the offseason to find this stuff quicker?
  24. Dont forget CY young Skubal deciding he just didn’t wanna pitch because he didn’t want to move his start day forward by 1 day.
