  1. Hutchison is our most advantaged pupil in the minors, he will be our 5th starter. McGuire won some ground, we will see him in the bigs in September.
  2. Hutchison will be the Blue Jays 5th starter....Happ and Romero the most expensive starters in AAA.
  3. Moises Alou "Nolin will be looking a spot in the Blue Jays rotation next year, reason why he comes to this league to work hard"....."Toronto only asked us to take care of his boy (if we agree with Nolin and his agent)""

  5. Chris Davis? The guy who couldn't play 3B or hit the ball? Davis emerged as a good hitter but he never had a high ceiling as a hitter (Jose Bautista) = luck
  6. Jon Daniels is not a stupid as AA. Jon Daniels knows better the business than AA and He has very clear in his mind the phrases "positional value" and "surplus value"
  7. Who of them do you think have the talent (NO Sanchez-Stroman)?

  11. Kalbus has his own thread.
  12. Aaron deserves a thread here.
  13. “It’s not like my command is bad, they’re competitive walks,” Sanchez says. “Don’t get me wrong, there are some four-pitch walks, but being able to throw my curveball for a strike and put out people with my curveball is probably the biggest thing I wanted to work on this year, because I feel like my changeup and my fastball are pretty much there every night.” “I want people to beat me with my best stuff, that’s everybody’s thought process,” says Sanchez. “Getting cheap hits on my off-speed was frustrating at the beginning, but I understood the big picture. This whole process since I’ve been drafted is looking at the whole big picture and yeah, maybe it’s slower and I still may be in high-A, but there’s been a plan since the day I signed and it’s about sticking to it.” In past years the curveball has been more of a finishing pitch for Sanchez—an “0-2 hammer punch-out curve,” as he describes it—while this season he incorporated a slower version of it in the 79–84 range that finishes in the zone. The difference, he explains, is in “the release point.” “I was trying to make it too nasty, and taking a step back, and letting it do the work out front is what’s helped me,” he continues. “It was always a good curveball, I just could never throw it for a strike, so nobody would respect it. They were sitting fastball. Now that I can throw that, it’s getting me through five, six, seven innings.” http://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/mlb/jays-sanchez-honing-curveball-in-arizona/
  14. Elias sports bureau was a joke, useless and failed system.
  15. Value of qualifying offering will rise to $14.1 M
  16. I don't compared, I just said "they both have one thing in common"....overrated
  17. We don't need spend money in Tanaka....Right? McGowan + Morrow + Drabek + Hutchison = 35 GS
  18. Sounds logical. JPA is more valuable than Goins undoubtedly but I prefer Goins bench role over JPA as starter.
  19. Yankees Expected To Aggressively Pursue Tanaka Golden Eagles this season have turned quite a few heads in the United States, and according to George A. King III of the New York Post, the Yankees "are going to be serious players" for the Japanese ace. King spoke with several executives who guessed that the posting fee for Tanaka could go as high as $60MM, but the Yankees aren't overly concerned about that number given the fact that the posting fee wouldn't count against their stated desire to get underneath baseball's $189MM luxury tax threshhold. The expected $50-60MM contract that would go along with such a posting fee -- contract totals are usually in the same ballpark as the posting fee -- certainly would. King writes that assistant GM Billy Eppler and pro scout/former Mariners manager Don Wakamatsu have both watched Tanaka extensively this season. While the common consensus has been that Tanaka is a lesser prospect than Yu Darvish was prior to joining the Majors, King spoke to a scout who prefers Tanaka to Darvish: "He is better than Darvish because he is a strike thrower," the scout said. "Overall, Darvish’s stuff might be a little bit better, but this guy knows how to pitch. He is like Kuroda, he has a lot of guts. He throws four pitches but when it gets to [stone]-cutting time, it’s fastball and splitter."

  21. King has lost a lot of ground as a poster. He was good but "King Kalfus" and "Harvey the anormal one" caused a electric shot on his brain.
  22. ********. He's a overrated hitter (ALA Pillar).
  23. Tigers Could Listen To Offers For Scherzer This Winter Fans that are dreaming about a David Price trade after the recent news that he's preparing himself to be moved this offseason can add another name to their wishlists, as Danny Knobler of CBS Sports reports that there's a "very real chance" the Tigers could trade AL Cy Young favorite Max Scherzer this winter. As Knobler points out, Scherzer is eligble for free agency following the 2014 season, and as a Scott Boras client, he's unlikely to sign a long-term deal with free agency so close at hand. The Tigers are already paying Justin Verlander, Miguel Cabrera and Prince Fielder $20MM or more next season, and they've committed $12-16MM to each of Victor Martinez, Anibal Sanchez and Torii Hunter.
