  6. Top-10 OF Byron Buxton Joc Pederson Jorge Soler Jesse Winker Alex Jackson Michael Taylor Dalton Pompey Austin Meadows Hunter Renfroe Clint Frazier Dalton Pompey Scouting Grades: Hit: 60 | Power: 45 | Run: 60 | Arm: 50 | Field: 60 | Overall: 55 After starting the 2014 season with Class A Advanced Dunedin, Pompey rocketed through three levels of the Minor Leagues and made his Major League debut in September. Along the way, the Ontario native appeared in the All-Star Futures Game and established himself as the Blue Jays' top position prospect. Pompey combines elite athleticism with a good feel for hitting on both sides of the plate. He has a mature approach and is adapt at working walks. While his approach lends itself more to high contact rates than power, his bat speed enables him to drive balls. He has above-average speed and puts it to good use both on the basepaths and in center field, where he covers a lot of ground. Though Pompey still has room for further refinement, the Blue Jays showed faith in him during the offseason and he was penciled in as their starting center fielder entering the 2015 season.
  7. Save that quote for later, Dr-Dinger isn't here.
  8. Severino, Finnegan, Hoffman, Sims out
  9. Belisario is our 2014 Brandon League, but cheaper.
  10. Finnegan

  12. Some Jays lefty who lost velocity and his wife tweets like JP Arencibia 2013 2013-2014: 114 innings (11.53 K, 3.95 BB, 0.47HR)/9, 53% GB, 2.63 FIP VS David Robertson 2013-2014: 130 innings (11.92 K, 2.82 BB, 0.83 HR)/9, 48% GB, 2.65 FIP
  13. Estrada and Redmond can start, but they shouldn't. The depth is a big problem right now for the Jays.
  14. That was after the suspension.
  15. 5M backup catcher? AJ Jimenez is almost ready for that kind of role for free. Everth Cabrera is a better 5M dollars option.
  16. John Farrell "Dyson best stuff in Jays organization"
  17. Bernie Pleskoff ‏ #Dbacks have named Joe Carter as a Special Assistant to General Manager Dave Stewart. What a great hitter he was. Loved watching him play.
  18. McCarthy, Denorfia and Banderhop could have been great addictions (Pillar, Sanchez and Norris AAA)
  19. Jonah Birenbaum Inferences from AA's remarks: Norris/Estrada more likely to start than Sanchez; Thole is probably gone; we're going to win the World Series.
  20. Ben Nicholson-Smith Asked about Shields on @FAN590, AA said #Jays will monitor market but “I don’t know that we’re going to be spending $20M/year on a player"
  21. I know, but it's not a good idea to pressure Smoak.
  22. Ben Nicholson-Smith ‏ AA on @FAN590: there's a scenario where Smoak doesn't make the team if he struggles in spring training #BlueJays Wut?
  23. Jonah Birenbaum Anthopoulos: "I have no doubt" that Martin will be able to catch R.A. Dickey. Thole minors
