  1. Edwin 2 and Jose 3 is fair
  2. Report: Blue Jays offered Encarnacion a 2-year deal The Toronto Blue Jays are apparently interested in bringing back slugger Edwin Encarnacion, and they're not going to give up on the slugger just yet. Toronto will revisit contract talks with Encarnacion at the All-Star break after the club made a guaranteed two-year offer to the slugger, who will be a free agent at season's end, reports MLB Network's Jon Heyman. Encarnacion hasn't made a counteroffer at this point, but hopes to receive a deal in the four-to-five year range on the free-agent market, Heyman writes. The Blue Jays are also reportedly willing to extend a three-year offer exceeding $20 million per year to Encarnacion's power-hitting teammate Jose Bautista, who's slated to become a free agent as well. Bautista is seeking a five-year contract for at least $150 million as a free agent, according to Heyman. The slugging pair have been boons for a powerful Toronto offense, generating an immense amount of pop for the reigning American League East champions.
  3. Dominguez over Goins is great news
  4. Not only declined, the others catchers improved. wins above RL is defined as superiority over others in the same position. Martin was an one-eyed man in a blinds world. Now Martin is blind as everybody.
  5. Are you guanhundrepercent sure? Goins defense don't look elite than past years.
  6. That will depend of the free agency market, in term of WAR$$ 20 millions a year for a 1.5-2 WAR could be a good deal in the near future
  7. What about intangibles? Stroman' cockiness is a negative element right now IMO
  8. Last year Goins got 84 wRC+, but his ceiling is between 60-70 ala Pokey Reese, Chris Getz, Eric Sogard, Enrique Wilson
  9. 2013 Brandon Phillips: 90 wRC+, 2.5 WAR 2015 Addison Russell: 90 wRC+, 2.9 WAR 2015 DJ LeMahieu: 89 wRC+, 1.9 WAR Goins doesn't belong to that group
  10. 2015 Stroman 4.89 K/9 2016 Buehrle 4.12 K/9 2016 Pelfrey 4.70 K/9
  11. @jonmorosi #BlueJays are 0-7 in games decided by their relievers, 10-4 when starters are pitchers of record. The 7 bullpen losses are most in @MLB.
  12. Stroman against WSox 4/25/2016 95 pitches 10 whiffs 10.5% whiffs http://www.brooksbaseball.net/pfxVB/location.php?pitchSel=573186&game=gid_2016_04_25_chamlb_tormlb_1/&batterX=&innings=yyyyyyyyy&sp_type=1&s_type=&league=mlb&pnf=&zlpo=
  13. John Lott ✔ ‎@LottOnBaseball … based on what I’m hearing from pitching coach Pete Walker, the 64 2-seamers (sinkers) he threw tonight were too many
  14. Stroman head: 200 mediocre IP >> 175 stellar IP This is annoying as f***. Shatkins need to put Gibbons in his place.
  15. Shut up everybody. Pitch to weak contact groundballs is the new inefficiency market. StroChez is the groundabll duo
