And talk of the asking price on McCutchen. Brunt when asked whether these developments could be Bautista-related or other - "I would say other".

  8. Andrew Tinnish 150? WTF
  9. Pompey fantasy owner. The guy can't catch the ball, and he's a f***ing moron on the field. He looks like an idiot running and catching the ball. He needs to improve his mental game
  10. Jose at 1B no make sense for him and his ego. Move forward and left Jose gone to another place. Jose want to enter next year free agency as a OF, for that reason he want to play RF everyday. It's about value money for him..... and ego
  11. Jimenez is a walking dead zombie
  12. Report: Blue Jays, Bautista's reps in active contract talks Bryan Mcwilliam Dec 29, 2016 5:03 PM The Toronto Blue Jays and Jose Bautista appear to be talking once again. With the new year approaching, Bautista's representatives are engaged in active contract discussions with the Blue Jays, sources told FOX Sports' Jon Morosi. General manager Ross Atkins told MLB Network on Tuesday that the 36-year-old was still an alternative for the Blue Jays, after Bautista said he would be willing to accept a one-year deal to re-sign with them if it exceeded the $17.2-million qualifying offer he rejected in November. "He is a proven force in the lineup. He's obviously still an alternative for us and we're glad that he is," Atkins said. "We'll do everything we can to improve our team and that is one avenue." The six-time All-Star, who has hit 265 home runs with the club since joining them in 2008, had a down year last season amid injury issues, hitting .234/.366/.452 while posting his lowest OPS (.817) since 2009. The Blue Jays have reportedly been on the hunt for an outfielder to add to their roster for most of the offseason, and have been linked to Jay Bruce and Curtis Granderson of the New York Mets, Andrew McCutchen of the Pittsburgh Pirates, and free agents Brandon Moss and Michael Saunders. Re-signing Bautista wouldn't cost the team any draft pick compensation, which would be a huge plus. Over the course of his 13-year career in the bigs, he owns a .255/.368/.493 slash line with 308 home runs and 862 RBIs. He earned $14 million last season.
  13. Sign Moss and trade for Dyson
  14. Report: Blue Jays have looked into Moss There may be a new name in the Toronto Blue Jays' search for outfield help. With a preference toward acquiring a left-handed hitter, the Blue Jays have reportedly looked into signing free agent Brandon Moss, according to FanRag Sports' Jon Heyman. Moss has played the past two seasons with the St. Louis Cardinals, after arriving in a 2015 midseason trade from the Cleveland Indians. He struggled at the plate in 2016, slashing .225/.300/.484 across 128 games with St. Louis, and finished the regular season in a 9-for-91 slump. Moss could, however, provide the Blue Jays with positional flexibility, as the 33-year-old can slot in at both first base and the corner outfield. He also wouldn't cost Toronto a prized first-round draft pick, as he wasn't extended a qualifying offer by the Cardinals this offseason. Along with Moss, Heyman adds the Blue Jays have also stayed in touch with their own free agent in Michael Saunders, who started in left field with the club for a majority of the 2016 season.

  19. Stroman will be traded this offseason. Shapiro see him like a bullpen arm? Stroman and Pompey for Cutchen and money
  20. Nothing to see here. Edwin signed with a better team for a bug money and years. That was a message for Jose. "Take the 16 millions or go to the f***. I don't care about franchise playah"
  21. Poor Jose. He wants to stay in Toronto with a long term deal, and Toronto doesn't want him.

  23. The Dominican government will be forced to invest in school sports after the international draft. I f***ing hate the current system
  24. I'm one of the few people who supports the draft internationale. The current system does a lot of damage to the Dominican nation. Buscones take kids out of school for full-time baseball, and most of these children end up on the streets without knowing how to make a work for a living. I know that with the draft the numbers of Dominican players will be reduced, but at least we will be a more educated country.
  25. I could be that guy.
