    AA also got OFF the horrible Vernon Wells contract, which seemed impossible at the time.

    It's mortifyingly awful for Albies and Acuna, but I can't imagine a GM making any two moves that could possibly result in as much surplus value. AA is literally a god tier GM on this alone.

    AA hoodwinked Acuna and Albies into by far the most team-friendly contracts in baseball, creating a game-breaking level of value and payroll flexibility.
