    In the NFL, lots of teams play on turf: both NY teams, Atlanta, Buffalo, Dallas, New Orleans, etc. I dunno f*** all about the CFL because it sucks, but according to this website, every stadium uses artificial turf.

    The people who were actually watching the games were saying the opposite. I know it goes against what you're trying to accomplish, but making stuff up isn't going to help your case. All we heard were that he will need to move to the OF because he doesn't have the hands, range or instincts to stay at third. All of that came from scouting reports in the minors.

    Not sure what your point is, Loney is likely a 3 WAR player this season for 2 million. That's terrific value and one of the biggest reasons why the Rays are always so successful. Each Loney type signing is critical to an org like Tampa. But nice job with that retort. You really showed everyone.

    Yeah I saw, without a single f***ing at bat for them. Goddamn, like maybe Ramon Ortiz will come back next year and go 3 or 4 starts in a row with no earned runs, a k/bb well below 1 and a 50% fb rate and these dumbass casuals will be going on about how he's found the fountain of youth. To this day it amazes me how often cases like Goins and Thames go exactly as planned and these idiots act all cocky about it after 8 games.

    How the are these situations different? Thames and Goins are both mediocre non prospects, both are being given a shot at a vacant position and in both cases AA is being fooled by success in a small sample. Actually, Thames probably had more upside than Goins when he came up. People were enamored with Chocolate Thunder, just like with Goins now. Where's Thames? Couldn't even crack the Mariners' 25 man and they don't even care about defense. Goins might be the next Mike McCoy but it will take a miracle for anything more than that.

    Never underestimate packs of casual fans. They love rooting for underdogs and will celebrate small samples to prove how right they are until that player predictably falls on his face. Then they move on to the next shitbag and repeat. Who will it be in the Spring? I can't wait!
