I will say, Doc was absolutely dominant when he was on top. Only guy in the same conversation as him during his period of dominance was Johan Santana and he didn't do it as long as Halladay. Something that I can't stand is guys who hang around forever being average to above average for a long time and getting consideration. IMO Halladay was the best pitcher of his era and that's enough for him to be an easy choice for me.

Honestly, I want this team to lose as many games as possible in the hopes that this dumbass GM and his incompetent, backwards FO are replaced by someone who isn't trapped in the 1980s. Not signing Ruiz was a good start, hoping for a Carroll signing and then a "platoon" of Izturis and Goins...as if that would even constitute a platoon since neither can hit and Maicer is a switch hitter as is. Bruce Chen would also be a nice addition. -

I mind this move less than DeRosa and maybe Vizquel in a nutshell, but did AA forget he has Izturis? Why get a guy who would be used the exact same way? Makes no sense.
