  1. Seems kind of all over the place. No real signs of linear improvement.
  2. Does he draft his own employment contract? Why is it all his decision to stay on?
  3. Yeah, if this thread could end that would be great. Hope you're right!
  4. See: Blue Jay team record And what I can't stand is people spouting off that he pitched well in those outings, because he didn't. Of course I want the Jays to win.
  5. Name one person wishing failure on Sanchez.
  6. We are talking specifically about pitcher performance, not team performance. If you have bad players, more often than not the results will be bad too.
  7. lol I was thinking the exact same thing. I was like "wow, f***ing Pillar even gets a tv in his locker"
  8. If a guy walks the bases loaded every inning, then gives up three straight line drive outs, did he pitch well? He didn't give up any runs.
  9. Jesus Christ. It's like fighting fire with kerosene.
  10. 1. Sanchez has been one of the worst starters in baseball this year. 2. His peripherals are a better indicator of skill than ERA. 3. If his fastball has so much movement and is difficult to square up, why doesn't he miss more bats? Fact is, he walks a lot of guys and while you people say he's had a lot of soft contact it isn't really true. He ranks 42nd in soft hit% which doesn't even make him above average. 4. Stop being so results oriented. It's a team game and we are trying to measure Sanchez, not anyone else. Defense is part of run prevention and it has undoubtedly helped him out quite a bit. What I really think is happening here is people clinging to Sanchez because "advanced stats fans" don't think he's been good.
  11. 1. Sanchez has been "so bad" thus far. 2. Maybe he will improve but there's really no need to take a stance on it currently. Past data would indicate he'll probably improve slightly but not to the point where he is useful, at least this year.
  12. Stupidity is when you're wrong and don't realize it.
  13. People like you are the main reason being a fan of this team is so embarrassing. Toronto fans, by in large, know absolutely f*** all about baseball. See: this thread, where several idiots laughingly dismiss posters much smarter than themselves. By the way, check out that guy who would be a godsend right now in Mike Bolsinger. ERA over 5 last year lead the DBacks to unceremoniously dump him for cash. Dodgers understand ERA doesn't mean much as his peripherals pointed to a 3.5-3.75 ERA guy. Lo and behold, he's been very effective thus far. All of you would have been happy to see him cut because his ERA was bad. But yeah, you guys just keep making the exact same mistakes you always make, np. Make sure you're extra arrogant whenever possible!
  14. Hard to counter arguments that aren't based in reality.
  15. That lineup is terrible. Lol AA. Will probably score 10 runs.
  16. No I didn't. The Joe Torre comment was obvious hyperbole, the post wasn't angry at all and I wasn't only responding to him. Then there was the Joe Carter comment that I didn't really understand.
  17. That's when you're supposed to do this: http://i.imgur.com/5mPQjR9.gif
  18. I'm not the one bringing up Pollock mere weeks after robbing you blind, thx. I have to cling to what little dignity I can salvage.
