  1. My god, I remember those Farrell interviews, where he clearly singles out a player but is too much of a massive pussy to say his name. This f***ing guy constantly beats around the bush.
  2. It enraged me so I didn't go to the end, but did they even bother mentioning the guy who usually takes the most time between pitches (Tulo) or did he not fit into the old guy narrative?
  3. Sounds like a crock of s*** article to me. Aramis Ramirez is about to retire and has pretty much checked out, Victor Martinez had a knee injury and has barely played.
  4. Ooh, down to 17th eh? That's too bad.
  5. I gotta admit, beating Cats Ass feels better than beating anyone else.
  6. This guy is like the perfect caricature of a casual fan
  7. I think I wasn't precise with my post, I was simply talking about the point in general. There's no way to quantify "mental preparation" though I'd assume the top levels of any sport require a huge amount. Sherman is the best at what he does in the top league of the sport he plays, he has no way of knowing what it's like for Trout or Djokovic. I like Sherman. He's not an idiot and doesn't tolerate stupid media members.
  8. Darren O'Day is so good. How dare Dinger call him a junky old guy.
  9. How would you even quantify that? It's interesting that Sherman created a debate where a bunch of athletes responded and I don't think his tweet was made in a dismissive manner, but it's a pretty useless argument.
  10. I wonder if A-Rod will get into the HoF. Hopefully a lot of the self righteous ******* voters will have died off when he becomes eligible. He's a first ballot slam dunk, obviously, best SS that's ever played the game.
  11. A-Rod hits a 2 run jack to tie the game and go past 2000 RBI. What a great player.
  12. "Will probably need to move to 3B" - Every SS prospect "Will probably need to move to a corner OF" - Every 3B prospect "Utility guy ceiling" - Every 2B prospect - BP scouting guide
  13. What? I'm curious. Not challenging him to a fight.
  14. Cling to whatever you want man. I know how hard it is to admit defeat.
  15. Rob Refsnyder went 4-5 today and fell a triple short of the cycle. *yesterday, sorry. MLB farm failed me.
  16. Probably my favourite trait about Gibbons is that he's very even keeled. He never gets too high or too low, isn't afraid to stick up for his players (unlike Farrell) and generally does not overreact to situations. How many managers overreact and take out Hutch early or Hendriks after he loaded the bases today? Gibbons' BP management today was sublime and you're an idiot to say otherwise. He put this team in the best position to win today, and they made a nice comeback.
  17. Gibbons doesn't overreact to Hendriks getting BABIP'd (a lot of other managers probably do) and he proceeds to record back to back filthy strikeouts.
  18. Is cats ass a commish in this league?
  19. This thread doesn't get bumped anymore. I guess the "fire Gibby" warriors are easily placated with a winning streak? Maybe Gibby isn't that bad? And not to go on, but watching Farrell and his stupid face when he makes dumb decisions (like challenging an unwinnable play) makes me super glad he went to Boston. Yet he won a WS despite being a total moron.
  20. Smoak now up to a 145 wRC+.
