    I'd trust the opinions of scouts who've actually seen the players live. I don't claim to know a thing about scouting, just don't understand how you could analyize a players mechanics, breaking ball, swing or defense without actually seeing them play.

    I certainly wouldn't label him a "bad player" just yet. He was well above average in the DWL, and put up solid numbers in his short stint with the Jays last season.

    I know he's looked awful defensively, but I can't be the only one who likes the potential with his bat.

    I'm split on this decision myself. I really like the potential I see with the bat, but the defense and base running scares me.

    This is exactly what I'm referring to. I don't really remember there being anything but casual's back then, everyone loved home runs and rbi's. On base percentage would have been considered an advanced stat at that time.

    I just noticed that Tony Fernandez was brought back to the Jays on three different occasions after being traded to SD. IMO Gruber is one of the most overrated Blue Jays of all time.

    Apparently, the players association can fire the arbitrator. This might actually be in the best interest of the players.

    So much for all teams having a fair shot at signing the player. I'd rather they just went back to the old system. If teams want to make statements like this, lets see them back it up. If the Dodgers, Cubs or Yankees are going to sign Tanaka at any cost, I'd rather see it be a blind bid of around $150M.

    This was an on field accident not an offseason accident. I missed where you said "later mentioned", which is understandable since the Latino was previously mentioned. Try posting the correct info before claiming I can't comprehend what your posting. You might wan't to drop the attitude kid, I wasn't calling you out.

    Your assuming last year was he best season. It's possible but, I'm not so sure.
