I'm beginning to think maybe that's the best Melky has anymore as far as legs go and isn't hurt. If that's the case we got screwed.
If he is hurt, then he should definitely be on the DL since it's going to end up costing runs and possible games running him out to LF all the time.
I'm sure Kawasaki will be back after the deadline once AA makes some moves. Maybe they will give him some 2B time at Buffalo.
The nice thing is Kawasaki will always have a gig with the Jays since he can take over from Ace someday. I just picture him in the costume yelling "I'm Japanese" up and down the stands. It would scare the hell out of the kids.
Yup, agree 100%. The problem becomes who is really in need for borderline players and willing to give up an above average 2B for them? I just can't see how the Jays could get anything of any huge upgrade for any of those guys listed in any combination.
Not too sure about that, he hasn't played there, so how would anyone know? Boni has played pretty well recently there. Give Kawasaki time to play some 2B in Buffalo then when AA decides to trade someone maybe he can be used again somehow.
Not sure..I just know this year the formula has been working for this team. The bullpen has been awesome and with the options available they have been able to match up easily.
I just think come late August it's going to be good having fresh arms. The bullpen may win a division, Kawasaki wasn't.
Do you really expect Rogers and Wang to be our consistent 7 inning starters? They are going to need the arms in the pen, what happened for 11 games isn't the norm and they will get the work.
Anyways, everyone can keep going on and on about it. He's gone, he'll be forgotten in no time, no big deal.
Plus he'll be back I'm sure for the player's amusement once someone gets hurt soon enough.
I think Boni will be a better player without Kawasaki around. His little side show is gone, maybe he can focus on baseball now other than all the other crap
