  1. Beltran probably didn't sign with the Royals because he didn't want to get eaten by a fan. http://l1.yimg.com/bt/api/res/1.2/enHfzOhQKOYZm3ptjCIjVA--/YXBwaWQ9eW5ld3M7cT04NTt3PTYzMA--/http://media.zenfs.com/en/blogs/sptusmlbexperts/jimmyhug092213.jpg
  2. You mean a Royals fan? http://cdn.na16.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/kansas-city-royals-fan.jpg
  3. That would make sense. Supposedly the Royals offered $48M over three years
  4. I wouldn't be surprised if he turned down their offer, and that's why they acquired Aoki.
  5. You think violence is the solution to the ump blowing a few calls in a f***ing game? Grow up.
  6. Oh, don't get me started on this. I have to refrain myself from pummeling people when they tell me that science has failed when scientists come out with new theories, or modify existing ones.

  10. Perhaps Garza has no interest in signing here.

  12. It depends on whether you consider worth to be what the market will bear, or whether you assign another abitrary metric as worth.
  13. I suppose that depends on whether Arencibia wants to start doing cocaine.
  14. MLB best start sizing the Marlins for their World Seiries rings.
  15. On a top-ten list of things not often said, this is comfortably in the top five.
  16. They are in the US.
  17. Seems to be confusion all around. From MLBTR: "There are conflicting reports on how the team would be selected, as Bill Shaikin of the L.A. Times wrote this week that the posted player would be allowed to select from the teams that tie for highest bid."
  18. The way I understand it, if more than one team is tied for the highest bid, it automatically goes to the one with the worst winning percentage. The player being bid on has no say in the matter.
  19. True, but at least one of them would bid the max.

  21. It goes to the team with the lowest winning percentage that year.
  22. I just caught that now. http://www.wildbunny.co.uk/blog/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/omgMeme.jpg
  23. s***, I could even see Loria ponying up $20M
  24. He also said that at the start of the season, and followed through with it.
