I know it's early, but the Jays could be in the thick of things come Sept. I'm not trolling here. I'm kind of wondering how a playoff team uses Sept call ups vs how the Jays have traditionally used them. I guess it's always used to reward prospects and that is how I have always seen the Jays use it.
Do you bring up as many pitchers as you can in order to rest certain guys in the rotation and pen?
Would you bring up a guy like Kenny Wilson, who obviously does not deserve to be in the majors, for the sole purpose of late game speed off the bench?
Do you bring up guys like Dan Johnson and Brad Glenn for bats off the bench?
Diaz, Goins and/or Kawasaki for defensive replacements?
For a playoff contender, should you have 40 guys up, just in case you may need one of them for what ever situation may present itself?
