Cecil is actually in the top 40 this year in the majors in appearances. He might've had a bit of dead-arm there for a while. He threw a lot early on. You'll probably see him get more appearances from here on.

Even if you aren't SABR-supportive, the guy threw 5.1 innings against the Minnesota Twins and left with the bases loaded. That is not acceptable.

It wasn't a good start. He pitched well between innings 2 and 5. Did he implode? No. But that was not a good start. We now have to get 4 innings from our freaking bullpen during the first game of a series.

Dickey's last start (WPA): Dickey: -.231 Loup: .469 Pen has bailed this guy out so much. No more excuses. He pitched well in the middle innings (credit for that) but we should be holding a former CY Young winner getting paid 10M a year to higher standards. He is not terrible but these late inning collapses are f***ing horseshit. Throw f***ing strikes.

If our pen was a lot shittier Dickey would have an ERA around 6. He's been bailed out so many times. Loup and McGowan have saved him like 6 earned runs over the last two starts alone.

McGowan has the velocity and the stuff is still decent. It's all endurance with him. Fantastic reliever.
