Notes:
Red Sox:
Jose De La Torre, with all the injuries happening in the Boston BP, has a chance to make his first MLB appearances out of the bullpen. The 27 year old Purto Rican player has pitched 7 seasons in the Mets, Indians and Boston organizations since 2006, and posted a 2.77 ERA and a 9.3 K/9 in those seasons.
Lester against the Jays is a good matchup for him, as he's held the Jays to the second lowest BAA against (.206) from an AL club in his career
The Sox are on a cold streak, ever since the series in Toronto, they have went 1-6 getting swept by the Rangers and dropped the 4 game series at home against the Twins. Currently they are on a 3 game losing streak.
Jays:
Josh Johnson's tricept injury will take him out until June, and Happ's aming for a return in 4 weeks time
Jays snapped Tampa's streak of 17 straight series wins at home by the Rays vs. Jays, despite dropping the last two games, they managed to tie the series. A series decision that isn't a loss that hasen't happened since Tampa's rebranding.
The offence is starting to take a turn, just as the starting pitching is falling apart. Now that the Jays have lost Happ and Johnson, plus demoting Romero and postponing Morrow's start, the offence finally decides to break out.
