Is it bad that I don't care if the Leafs win because it generates more interest for the Jays?
  3. What a steal. We should do that to Lawrie
  4. What a blowout by the Jays! Great pitching from Jenkins, and a great offensive display in Boston's fortress against Dempster. Good job on Gibbons for the tweaked lineup, it seems the hitters are more comfortable and there is more runs getting scored with the boost of Bautista and EE up in the lineup. Scoring Plays: Top of the 2nd: Jays score (Jays lead 2-0): Munenori Kawazaki slaps a two run single to right field, Adam Lind and Emilio Bonifacio plate Top of the 3rd: Jays score (Jays lead 3-0): Jose Bautista rips a solo bomb over the monster on the first pitch from Ryan Dempster Top of the 4th: Jays score (Jays lead 5-0): Emilio Bonifacio hits his first homer of the year to right field, Colby Rasmus scores on the 2 run homer Bottom of the 4th: Red Sox score (Jays lead 5-1): Mike Napoli hits his 7th homer of the year to dead center, solo shot Top of the 5th: Jays score (Jays lead 6-1): Edwin Encarnacion hits a beauty homer over the monster for his 11th of the year, a solo blast Top of the 6th: Jays score (Jays lead 7-1): Brett Lawrie lines a solo homer out of the ballpark for his 4th homer of the year Jays score (Jays lead 8-1): Melky Cabrera lifts a sac fly to Daniel Nava, Emilio Bonifacio scores Jays score (Jays lead 10-1): Jose Bautista hits his second homer of the game (9th of the year), Kawazaki scores Bottom of the 6th: Red Sox score (Jays lead 10-2): Daniel Nava hits a sac fly to Jose Bautista, Pedrioa scores from 3B Bottom of the 8th: Red Sox score (Jays lead 10-3): Pedro Ciriaco hits his first homer of the year to left field Red Sox score (Jays lead 10-4): Jarrod Salty hits into a force out with the bases loaded. Mike Napoli scores, Nava safe at 3B, Salty safe at 1B and Jonny Gomes out at 2B Top of the 9th: Jays score (Jays lead 11-4): Edwin Encarnacion hits a single to right field, Melky Cabrera scores and Jose Bautista to 3B Jays score (Jays lead 12-4): J.P. He's 1-0 with a 4.12 ERA in his career against the Jays (4 starts). Mike Napoli is in a mini-slump right now as he's 6 for his last 37 at bats (.162 average) with 10 Ks in those 10 games. He looks to start heating up as the Sox have been relying on him for production so far this season. Jays: Morrow's start has been pushed to Wednesday, where he'll pitch against the San Francisco Giants in the 2nd game of that series. Delebar has pitched well out of the bullpen, and finds himself top in the AL in strikeouts for relief pitchers and 4th in innings pitched out of the bullpen. Casey Janssen has done a phenomenal job out of the bullpen in the closer's role. He's 10/10 in saves and has only four hits allowed one earned run in all of 2013! Standings: http://i.imgur.com/0VFjVVU.png Venue: http://www.andrewclem.com/Baseball/Diag/FenwayPark.gif I hope you guys enjoy the game and the GDT! Please leave feedback and ideas/improvements for future GDTs!

Best Buehrle start of the season, great job from him, a strong 8 innings of shutout ball... until Oliver came in, and let his inherited run score + go ahead run scores on error, but Lind saves the day! Scoring Plays: Top of the 3rd: Jays score (lead 1-0): Melky Cabrera singles to left, Colby Rasmus scores Top of the 4th: Jays score (lead 2-0): Colby Rasmus singles to right field, Victorino bobbles the ball allowing Lind to score from second Bottom of the 8th: Red Sox score (Jays lead 2-1): Jacoby Ellesbury triples off the center field wall caching in David Ross Red Sox score (tied game 2-2): Pedroia hits a grounder to Kawazaki that's booted, he'll be safe at 1st and Ellesbury comes home from 3rd Top of the 9th: Jays score (lead 3-2): Adam Lind heroics! Homer to dead center with no one on for the go ahead run! Box Scores: http://i.imgur.com/BzatlQ1.png http://i.imgur.com/KKDKmr5.png
