Notes:
Braves::
Both BJ Upton and Jayson Heyward got days off last night, with Heyward getting a normal scheduled day off, while Upton has been sitting for two straight. He might be in the lineup today, but the numbers are all against him. He's hitting .148 with only 5 extra base hits and 60 Ks. And not only that, Upton is 4-24 (.166) against Morrow when he was part of the Rays with 12 K's against the power righty.
Evan Gattis went 3-4 last night with a homer, pushing him to hitting an even .500 (7-14) over his last 7 games with 4 homers in that span. As he crossed home plate, he said some things to JP Arencibia, that led to a bench exchange between the teams during the next half inning
The Braves have been outscored 34-10 away from home in interleague play this season. They are in a 6 game losing streak vs. AL teams.
Jays:
Morrow has been due for a good start, after he's given up 11 runs on 17 hits over the past two starts (12 innings in total). The Jays offence has been kind with Morrow on the mound, as despite his bad starts, he still won 4 of his last 5 games because of the offence gifting him 8.62 runs per start
Jose Bautista and Encarnacion hope to have good games today as Bautista's hot, hitting .517 (15-29!) with two homers and 5 ribbies over the last 7 games. Encarnacion on the other hand came off a 5 RBI game that saw him hit a three run homer, and is hitting .358 with four homers and 18 runs batted in over the last 13 games. Not only that, but Encarnacion has a good track record against Mahlom, hitting .361 life time against him (13 for 36).
Brett Lawrie's listed day to day after a bad slide at second that saw him twist his ankle. Who knows what that means in Jays land though. He did have a hot streak, hitting .411 (7-17) over his past five games.
Ricky Romero got shelled in his AAA start last night, as he gave up 8 runs on 5 hits and 3 walks (just for lols his ERA in the game was 108.01). His ERA in Buffalo is ugly (13.85) with his FIP not being much better (8.35). He's been walking the park with 20 walks in 13 innings (13.85 BB/9!). Things aren't looking good for him
