  1. You're taking JJ into consideration, which isn't a discussion point until the end of the season. Beeston's talking about the deadline. There's probably more payroll flexibility if we reach the post season
  2. I doubt it, has a sore wrist + tight hamstring... not much power can be generated with a hammy problem and a hurt wrist lol
  3. Thank ya! Had a lot of time on my hands so put more notes than usual. Also for July I'll add any new trades to the new MLB section

This trade gives the Cubs an additional $388,100 allocated for international signings. The Cubs keep it moving as they send ex-closer Carlos Marmol (they'll also eat $2mm of the remaining $4.8mm) and the Cubs' 4th international signing slot (worth $209,700) to the Dodgers for the recently-DFA'd Matt Guerrier Tigers: Doug Fister held the Angles to one run in 7 innings earning a no decision in his last start, as the Tigers lost the game in 10 innings. The last time the righty faced the Jays, he went 8 innings allowing only one run in an 11-1 blowout victory at Comerica Park. He owns a 3.19 ERA against the Jays in his career. Miguel Cabrera's 15 game hit steak that saw him bat .458 with 7 homers, came to an end when he went 0/4 against the Jays with a K against Dickey. Along with that, Prince Fielder is hitting .231 in the last 7 games (6/26), Jhonny Peralta is hitting .160 (4/25) and Torii Hunter is .059 (1/17) in the same timeframe. The bright spot for them is Omar Infante went 4/4 with a homer against Loup yesterday. The Tigers have trouble scoring runs, and their pitching isn't helping either, as they have been outscored 42-26 in the last seven games. Jays: The biggest headlines for the Jays right now is the fact that their two first baseman have been hit with injuries. Encarnacion is suffering from tightness in his left hamstrings, and after being slated to start yesterday's game as a DH, he was scratched completely and replaced by Arnecibia. Before yesterday's game though, Gibbons also mentioned a sore wrist with Encarnacion. As for Lind, he's pretty banged up too, suffering from a sore back, and according to Lind he's out for "a couple days". Mark DeRosa who hit a 3 run dinger and was covering for Lind is suffering with a sore neck. AA hasn't felt that a move is necessary, although they are basically playing with a 1 man bench. Chien-Ming Wang has been inconsistent this year with the Jays. He had a 'fair' debut (compared to most of the starts by the Jays) going 7.1 innings and allowing 5 runs, which lead to a 7-5 victory for the Jays and the start of the 11 game win streak. In his next two starts (against Texas and Baltimore) he allowed one run on 13.1 innings pitched, striking out 7 along the way. In his latest start though, he got shelled, as he allowed 7 runs on 1.2 innings pitched. The 'bad' Wang has put up 9 innings of 12 run ball striking out 3 and walking 5 and the 'good' Wang has put up 13.1 quality innings of 1 run ball and striking out 7 while only walking two. Since we've gotten two start of each, it will be interesting to see what he does today against the ice-cold Tigers. According to Jon Morosi: Drabek is on rehab assignment, Hutchinson and Happ are throwing to live BP, and Morrow's out until August The Jays have a 7 game winning streak at home, and are 11-2 in the last 13 games at home. They are 23-17 at home this year so far. The Jays are 2nd in the Majors with 107 homers. Please leave feedback and ideas/improvements for future GDTs!
  5. Really good move for the Dodgers. They don't care about spending $$$ but they need the International Slot. $209k is a lot allocated
  6. I'll take a pass on this bandwagon I sill don't trust him
