You don't get younger through FA. These guys are gonna be on max 2-3 year deals, enough time to build and grow some talent in the minors, that's where the youth will come from. These guys will just bridge the gap in the mean time. At least this is my understanding

Very low risk, I thought Morales was going to get more. I was comfortable with giving him like $10MM so this is fine, 3 years isn't that bad as well. Very interested to see how Smoak will play into this
