  1. I read that earlier lol. You know you f***ed up when Wilner has to come up with something REALLY stupid to back it up LOL, giving him the opening start just because he was paid to be our starting catcher last year, yeah ok

At 24, Drew Hutchison is Toronto's youngest opening-day starter since Todd Stottlemyre in 1990. Hutchison went 6 2/3 innings against the Yankees last July, helping Toronto end its 17-game losing streak in the Bronx. The Blue Jays have six rookies on their opening-day roster: center fielder Dalton Pompey, second baseman Devon Travis, starting pitchers Daniel Norris and Aaron Sanchez, and relief pitchers Miguel Castro and Roberto Osuna. Liam Hendricks officially became the 25th man on the roster and 8th arm in the pen, sending Goins down to AAA. Last year, New York didn't make the playoffs for the second straight year for the first time since 1993, which was also the last time Toronto appeared in the postseason. Yankees: Tanaka was a logical choice once he demonstrated in Spring Training that he could pitch effectively with the partially torn ulnar collateral ligament that interrupted his first season after signing a seven-year, $155 million contract to leave Japan. He made his big league debut against the Blue Jays at Rogers Centre last April. On Tanaka's third pitch, Melky Cabrera homered, but the Yankees went on to win the game. New York set team records for players (58) and pitchers (33) last year, and four-fifths of the starting rotation spent time on the disabled list. The Yankees scored 633 runs, 13th among the 15 AL teams, and their .307 on-base percentage was ahead of only Seattle. Alex Rodriguez hasn't played a full season since 2007 because of the suspension, two hip operations and a variety of lesser injuries. He lost his third base job to Chase Headley and figures to be primarily a designated hitter and backup to Headley and first baseman Mark Teixeira. After serving the one-year ban, he's back on the active roster as his 40th birthday approaches in July, owed $61 million for the final three seasons of his contract. ''I feel like I'm 18 years old with Lou Piniella in Seattle again,'' he said. A-Rod hit .267 in spring training (12 for 45) with one double, three homers and four RBIs. 4. Never knew that! I'll try it next time I'm in town!
  5. Oooooh nice!! I was in KW the other week actually, ended up infront of Laurier before I headed back. Mozy's Shawerma is the best
  6. No way, didn't know that!
  7. The feeling sucks but at least you catch most of the game Nice! Where do you go? And I'm pretty sure we are, we finish earlier than a lot of other schools, April 14th is my last exam
  8. Watch the re-run at 7pm and pretend that you're watching it live lol
  9. Me too. I'm catching the first hour before going to my 2 hour exam
  10. I, for one, disagree with this statement. GDTs are a tradition of this board
  11. I agree, John! Go Jays!!
  12. That's if he's healthy. That's a huge if for Quentin. He hasn't played 100+ games since 2011 when he played 118 games with the sox. It's an even worse idea to bring him here on the turf when he has such a poor injury history. I think the Braves are playing this right, he's not going to be worth that $8m payout for the season, not with the direction they're going. Markakis in right, Young Jr. in CF and a platoon of Kelly Johnson and Gomes in LF should be plenty for them
  13. I think they're not competing this year, so why keep him when you can write him off the books?
  14. If someone claims, even better for ATL budget wise lol
  15. I'm guessing this is a competitive lottery pick
  16. I'm wondering this too lol This came out of the blue too
  17. I hope everyone in the AL East burn. It looks like the Rays are probably going to end up last, but I hope the O's burn and the Sox don't get lucky and just suck. f*** the Yankees too, but for once I don't mind them coming in second place.... behind us of course
  18. I wonder if Towers tried to pitch the idea of Hill + small piece for Navarro to AA or not. Sucks for the D'backs that we have good options in that position barring further injuries
