Sanchez walked four to bring his total to 29, and his 6.87 per nine innings marks baseball's second-highest rate among pitchers with at least five starts. He was at 2.45 as a rookie last season. Sanchez has a 2.02 ERA in 14 home appearances, going 2-1 there in three starts this year. This marks his first matchup with Los Angeles. Russell Martin improved to 24 for 56 over his last 14 games with a 3-for-5 performance that was matched by Josh Donaldson, who is batting .433 with 14 RBIs over his last 16 at home. Donaldson was also caught on camera yelling expletives (Suck my cock!!!) from the dugout at Angels pitching coach Mike Butcher, seemingly bothered by the fact that Los Angeles argued the strike zone during his at-bat. Angels: Santiago is winless in his last four starts while receiving two runs of support, and he gave up one run over 12 1-3 innings in the last two. The left-hander didn't issue a walk in six innings of a 2-1 win over Colorado in 11 on Wednesday after walking 18 in his first six outings. Santiago has been able to maintain a 2.41 ERA despite walking four batters per nine innings. He's been doing it with an unsustainably high 87-percent strand rate, though. In 41 innings, the 27-year-old has allowed 34 hits and 18 walks, but only 12 runs (11 earned). Santiago has never started versus Toronto and owns a 2.25 ERA over five appearances. The Angels have backed Santiago with one or no runs five times. The Angels haven't lost a season series to the Blue Jays since 2007. They entered this four-game set having won 12 of their last 15 games against Toronto, including seven of their last eight at Rogers Centre. 2. Looks like everyone and their dog is rumored to take the Marlins job. First I hear Jeff Conine, then I hear Brett Butler, then Bo Porter, Ron Renokie, then Pudge Rodriguez. Now I see that their GM Dan Jennings might take over? Sheesh lol
  3. I know that, they're underpreforming like I said. But the thing is taking starters like Norris and Sanchez who haven't taken the complete time to develop and craft their pitches completely and throw them in MLB action isn't the right way for a team contending for post season action. The org seems to think that Sanchez and Norris are going to be exactly like how Stroman was but it's not usual that pitchers advance so quickly from the Minors to the Majors like Stroman did. Norris was thrown in the rotation as the #4 starter having started last year and A ball, how often do you see contending organizations do that? Sanchez is an even weirder case because we know that he has command issues, always did, yet the Org took his 33 innings out the pen last year as big enough evidence that he's ready for the bigs instead of thinking that it was just an anomaly. I think the front office dropped the ball on this, you can't really fire Walker or Gibbons when you have a rotation with Norris/Sanchez/Estrada filling in, there's really not that much you can do with that. I'm confident Hutch/Dickey/Buehrle will have a solid stretch and get their numbers down to last year's numbers but we need those 2 more pieces to the puzzle. Or at least one more, I think Estrada can be a decent 5th starter if he can prevent the long ball. The bullpen is another issue too
  4. I'm mostly talking about starters. I also blame AA for his brilliant thinking that he can go in the season with Norris and Sanchez as possibilities for the rotation, especially after Stroman was injured. I really don't think Pete Walker is to blame here either. The pitchers just suck. We needed a top of the rotation pitcher, that's why I wanted Shields so badly. With the way the offence is mashing, we might not really need that, but we need a bunch of solid starters, not starters that walk the park and that consistently underperform
  5. I don't want to hear anyone blame Gibby for the start of the season. All our pitchers are underperforming by A LOT
  6. holy f***, I'm not really into hockey but I might be we're kicking some srs ass
  7. Almost killed Carlos Gomez, 97 MPH right to the head, the ball bounced back the other way pretty hard too, dude just dropped to the ground
  8. Holy s*** did you guys see what Noah Syndergaard did??
  9. We need starters not more power hitting players

Two of those homers accounted for all three runs Estrada allowed in the first of his five innings during Monday's 5-2 loss at Baltimore. Astros: After giving up six runs in three innings of a 7-1 home defeat to Texas on May 5, Scott Feldman was better while allowing all three in the fifth of seven innings he completed in Sunday's 3-1 road defeat to the Los Angeles Angels. Trying to win a third straight start against the Blue Jays, Feldman scattered eight hits and allowed one run while going the distance in a 6-1 home victory over them Aug. 3.
