  1. Choo got 7/$130
  2. No way Jose. The league isn't built with Shapiro's everywhere that are going to make deals based on WAR/$, lots of FOs don't even use analytics fully like that yet. I'm not saying what Tulo SHOULD get but what he WOULD get. You're taking a lot out of Tulo's real-life value. His resume is part of that. No way he gets a Prado or Walker deal because he's not Prado or Walker. We've seen time and time again people pay for past performances vs. future performances. Alex Gordon got 18 you're telling me Tulo who plays at a premier position gets paid less than him? V-Mart got like 17 a year and he's old as dust and he's a good hitter but provides no defensive value (which btw could now be what Bautista's realistically looking at 4/$68 or something). People overpay for stars all the time brah
  3. What? Have you seen the type of contracts people have got over the past few years??? Josh Hamilton got 23Million AAV for 5 years starting at age 32 while being a liability on the field, question marks about his body and health, and a bad drug/alcohol history which was always in question and came into play after he signed (didn't he relapse in the last year or two?). Tulo will give you GG defence for at least the next 2 seasons with a power bat, like I said I could see him in a Dodgers uni if he was a free-agent if they can get Seager to move over plus it's a dry FA class which always goes into play. Didn't we hear rumors of teams wanting to give Bautista at least 4 years with AAV of 20-25 million at the start of the year? He's 36 and showed that he was a liability in the field last year when he blew out his arm. He'll provide at worst a league average bat and above average defence and a resume which we've seen time and time again get people paid more.
  4. What? No I'm exactly with you, I have no problem with what Souza did -- I'd do the same. But you missed the 2nd part of my post, why does he have a problem with Tulo doing what he did? You're telling me if someone is barking at your teammate you're not going to get in his face and tell him to shut the f*** up? Of course you would, that too is a natural reaction. I just think he's playing the victim card a little much
  5. Probably close to what he gets now, maybe even more. Don't forget that the FA market is pretty dry and SS is still a premium position. If Pujols and Hamilton got what they got as aging players who were younger than him at the time I can defo see Tulo get what he got maybe even more. With some sort of no trade clause too probably. I would see a team like the Dodgers paying out their ass for him, if Corey Seager would move to 2B and they'd ship Utley off somewhere else. Edit: I can see a deal for Troy being maybe 7-8 years at 145*165 Million? Annual salary at 20Mish
  6. Lol Souza should just shut up, it's not like he walked up to Martin and asked for an explanation, he turned around and started barking at Martin because he thought he was getting chirped at. You could see the reaction from Osuna and Martin as well when it first happened, they had a "wtf is your problem?" face, Tulo was not out of line for defending his players -- Souza if he truly misheard him and wanted to avoid drama should have walked up to martin and asked him to repeat what he said, idk why he felt a certain way from Tulo lol
  7. We'll give him a QO. If he gets offers that he likes he'll turn it down and get a pick. If he thinks he'll come back and mash better than he's ever done before he'll take the one year deal, and we may (or may not) get either get full value or above value at $16M. I don't see him accepting here though, he's having troubles catching up to the high fastball, he's slower than ever before and a key thing here is that, Bautista never had good range and made a few boneheaded plays in the OF but made up for it with a top 5 arm in the outfield. Now Pillar might have a better arm than him. He's become a one and half dimensional player for me, on base machine with 20-25 homers. which is good but he can't really play a position, maybe LF or 1B and he's becoming really older so injury risk is higher and skills will deteriorate. Also with him being an on base machine, you have to figure they're going to pitch Bautista more in the zone given that his batspeed is obviously down, so I don't know how many walks he'll truly be able to draw
  8. You make it sound that Dickey was a big factor, we're playing the Rays! That's a ticket to watch a loss given our s***** luck against them. I bet if a tougher team like Detroit or even Cleveland our attendance would be hire, but it's the Rays. We're all tired of them. Thankfully the season series is ending in 2 days, Wednesday's game will probably be a season low -- Wednesday school afternoon game against the Rays lol
  9. That's gotta change next year. If they up the prices but don't up their basic technology I'll be pissed. I also hope that some of the money that they receive gets reinvested in the Dome or stashed away for a new stadium down the line. The fanbase shows that if we win we come, so might as well improve the stadium and make it look more like 2016 and less than 1992
  10. We we had the 2nd highest total in the AL behind Fenway (who were hosting the O's, I'd say if we hosted any AL East team other than the stinkin Rays we'd have a higher #), BurlingtonBandit made it sound like only 18K were gonna show up lol
  11. Right???? And now my ex-favorite Jay is... my favourite non-Jay? If you told me at the time that Yunel was gonna go but within 3 years I'll get Tulo I'd take that in a heartbeat lol. That's like telling me Griffey or Pujols were gonna be Jays. I wish I knew how how cool it was to have Frank Thomas on the team at the time, I knew he was good but not HOF good
  12. Hey never said I didn't love Yunel, still doing well btw lol. But he was one of my favourite non-Jay. I was convinced he was the best short stop in the majors because j hated Jeter and Tulo was in every all-star game I remember startin shortstop, and he kept winning gold gloves and silver sluggers. Insane player. That's why I never and will never give him grief for anything he's a childhood favorite
  13. See this is why you don't ever compliment your opponent lol
  14. And people want to trade him!!! I want him here forever!! My favorite shortstop growing up, all my franchise mode teams in MVP Baseball and MLB 2K had Tulo in them, I still can't believe we got him, the day the trade was announced I thought it was a joke!! That's like telling me the Jays signed Griffey or Pujols
  15. Amen!!!!!!!
  16. f*** the wild card, we're taking the divison!!
  17. I said the Jays will score 8 runs in the 8th and it will be the turning point in the season But instead we only scored one, but it's still the turning point!!! We're going streaking guys!!!!!
  18. Man tulowitski is a f***ing boss. Holy f*** he's literally the team captain out there, did you guys see the replay? He's sees Souza hollering at Osuna and he steps in and starts yelling at Souza to get his ass off the field and got in his face lmao that's when Souza started backtracking and apologizing
  19. I think it's because Osuna was laughing and doing his cross his chest stuff, maybe he took it as mockery. That's probably why Archer was breaking it up, he had the same problem last week he kept telling the batter that was pissed at him (Springer) for his antics that "it's just a game have fun". I'm guessing its the same thing
  20. Next time I want an English speaking boy to hit a pinch hit go ahead homer so he can express his feelings to the amazing Hazel Mae and Barry Davis without the help of a translator!!!
  21. He's the 1% so what? Maybe he doesn't wanna tlak to the media often, why is he a douche?
  22. Mans put his arms around the kid and told him "no ones touching you" what a f***ing boss
  23. Grilli was gonna kick some ass LOL Souza apologizes HAHAHAHHAHA
