We'll give him a QO. If he gets offers that he likes he'll turn it down and get a pick. If he thinks he'll come back and mash better than he's ever done before he'll take the one year deal, and we may (or may not) get either get full value or above value at $16M. I don't see him accepting here though, he's having troubles catching up to the high fastball, he's slower than ever before and a key thing here is that, Bautista never had good range and made a few boneheaded plays in the OF but made up for it with a top 5 arm in the outfield. Now Pillar might have a better arm than him. He's become a one and half dimensional player for me, on base machine with 20-25 homers. which is good but he can't really play a position, maybe LF or 1B and he's becoming really older so injury risk is higher and skills will deteriorate.
Also with him being an on base machine, you have to figure they're going to pitch Bautista more in the zone given that his batspeed is obviously down, so I don't know how many walks he'll truly be able to draw
