    Hey i bet Bautista was worse as a teenager. Pompey = Bautista-lite? Seriously though, when it comes to Pompey and Alford I see them as very similar ballplayers, with a good chance of both being above average OFs.

    because no one knows. short term fluctuations would not be an issue, but long term weakening of the Cdn dollar against the greenback will have a significant effect, as most of the revenue is $Cdn and the liabilities are $US

    if the Jays move prospects in an effort to win this year, and then need to cut the budget, the team will be in a tough spot.... no money, and no farm

    282 plate appearances with Jays last year, Lawrie amassed 1.8 WAR. 343 plate appearances with A's this year, Lawrie has amassed 0.9 WAR. At least he is staying reasonably healthy, but needs to play a whole lot better.

    Posted a few weeks ago stroman would be in play. If the team is all in and aa trying to save his job, it's the most likely move. Wrong move, unless controllable talent coming back. Will more likely be similar to last years shark and hammel trade

    Navarro is a excellent, very strong catch...... candidate for DFA

    All for it if it doesn't involve any of the top 10 prospects. 2 or 3 top 11-20 prospects for Bruce and Leake would be fine by me. Bruce and the RC would be a good fit.

    When Beeston is replaced we might find out what really happened in 2012 and who made the decisions. The 2012 trades were anomalies. The trades before and after have been either good or debatable at least.

    Let me clarify. I agree they were not good or even neutral trades, just would not classify as terrible. As for Smoak, there is another year of control I believe, whereas Lind is a free agent at the end of the year. Picking up Smoak, and moving Lind for Estrada was a good sequence of moves.

    Would not classify the Lind or Snider trades as terrible. Also, will not be surprised if Smoak and Lind have same wRC+ at end of season, and we know there is no comparison on the D. The Hill trade was understandable, just didn't work in Jays favour. The others, yes, terrible, stupid trades along with Napoli.

    You may be right. Although they could flip someone after the season for prospects, to bring the commit down. Half a season of EE will not be expensive.

    Some impact from TJS recovery. Expect him to finish the season strong and be in Toronto at some point in 2016
