The failure rate for prospects is high. We can't expect Vlad Jr to be a MLB player, he is more likely to develop into a Mitch Nay. Sure, in 2-3 years there will be more prospects on the farm, mostly in the lower levels since almost all of the close to majors prospects have been traded. Again, I would rather the Astros/Cubs approach.

Got to figure with the freed up cash from Burly leaving, a FA pitcher will be signed. Hutch is a maybe, but assuming he still has options, I expect the Jays will want him in Buffalo at least to start the year (depth). Stro FA Dickey Sanchez/Osuna ? IMO, the ? will be whoever Pillar and lesser pieces returns in a trade.

In general, yes. When a K is needed, one of those two would be better. Most other situations, Sanchez is the better choice.

not that farfetched.... look at Martin's position behind the plate, he's away from Choo. he's throws back to the pitcher the same way each time, so why didn't he hit Choo's bat in a previous at bat? what changed here.... did Choo move the bat closer or did Martin change his throw angle? my bet is on the former

i agree it might have been intentional..... but no it didnt get them fired up...... Andrus gifted us extra outs and Bautista nailed a mistake pitch

i can see both Sanchez and Osuna spending time both as starters and in the bullpen in 2016. Would like to see Osuna mimic the use of Sanchez this year, minus the time on DL. Nothing wrong with our very own Mariano Rivera either
